Sharing the Homemade Casserole [WC/SC/SkC]

This was weird. The closest Thrushstar had ever come to being in Windclan territory was across the Thunderpath in his own territory, yet here he was on the other side (in broad daylight nonetheless) standing at Windclan's edge waiting for a patrol to come by. Breezestar told him that there were regular patrols for the other clans at sunhigh, but the Shadowclan leader couldn't understand why. It was too bright out here with no cover except the tall grass that waved about in the breeze like an ocean. He did have to admit, though, that the sun felt pleasantly warm on his coat in the biting wind. But if all of the clans were doing it, it made sense to keep borders protected. In his mind, the whole idea was still silly.

Stifling a yawn, Thrushstar looked back at the company he brought with him. Breezestar and his deputy whom Thrushstar still did not know, and of course Leopardfang. With four of them already, the Shadowclan leader didn't think of it being a good idea to bring anyone else along, even if it meant that the leaders and deputies would have been safer. He was certain Falconstar would definitely see it as a threat more than a simple chat. His tail flicking back and forth behind him, he turned back to face the openness of Windclan, his eyes peeled for any movement of a patrol.

Was slightly strange, now that he thought of it, that the tom had never once gotten a glimpse of WindClan land in broad daylight. Anytime he had business anywhere near the windswept moors, it was merely on journey to Highstones to meet with their ancestors, and even under the promise of a peaceful journey, he still did well as he could to avoid the clan. Any confrontation was never worth the trouble to him.

And yet here he stood. There wasn't a tree in sight, he noted duly, nothing but the long fields of pale, frosted grass and the blue sky above them, and the faintest scent of rabbit in the air. He wondered how the WindClan cats survived anywhere else. Admittedly, with the lack of covet of the forest, he felt rather... exposed. It was slightly uncomfortable. In the same way, he could only imagine them finding the tall woods of his suffocating, if nothing else.

He glanced over Crowflight and looked to the other leader, who seemed rather out of place himself. And dead tired. "The sun isn't too hot for you?" He meowed with a slight tease to his tone, flicking his tail and gazing back out into the grasslands.

Crowflight stood next to his leader unsure what to make of this whole thing. It was too open there was no cover or anything. How could anyone stand this? How did they escape the rain? Crowflight looked to his leader for a moment wondering what he thought of all of this, but his attention was on the other leader. Crowflight shifted his gaze back to what was in front of them, hoping a patrol would come soon, so they could return to cover as soon as possible.

Feathertail was alerted as soon as she saw the cats in the distance. Clearly being able to tell that they weren't windclan, because how they shifted uncomfortably. Also there was the fact that they stuck out against the territory, well sort of. She took a moment to make sure there were no others around, before approaching the cats.

Feathertail walked over to the group of cats. "Greetings Breezestar, Thrushstar. I suppose you are here to see Falconstar?" She was relieved to see them here instead of in battle. "Honestly, I'm glad to see you here." They were probably going to be confused by her statement, seeing how she was the one who shared the news of Falconstar's wish to keep Skyclan territory. She really desired to give it back to them, but she couldn't go against her leader's word.

Blizzardwind padded over. "Feathertail do you think Falconstar would like to eat this rabbit it caug-" The tall silver and light gray spotted tom meowed then stopped when he saw Shadowclan and Skyclan cats. "Uh hello.." The tom blinked his pale icy blue eyes and lashed his unusually long tail. Then his ears perked up when Feathertail asked them if they were here for their territory back. The tom let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding and sighed in relief. He felt bad about Windclan taking Skyclan's Territory.

Saltpaw followed behind her mother, the white tabby remaining silent as she greeted the two leaders and their deputies. The she-cat was uneasy with their presence despite how tired they looked from the journey, there was undeniable strength in their solid forms. She could easily imagine their powerful jaws breaking her in half if they wanted, and she wouldn't have been surprised if they did. She'd heard from her mother about how WindClan was occupying SkyClan territories. Personally, the she-cat didn't see the big issue, RiverClan and SkyClan seemed to being doing fine together. WindClan had one of the biggest clans of the five, didn't it make sense they had more land?

Pinepaw padded up behind his sister, Saltpaw, his neatly groomed fur shining in the sunlight. "Ugh! What're they doing here?" He hissed to his sister quietly, scoffing at the sudden appearance of Shadowclan and Skyclan. The tom let out a low growl, kneading his claws against the ground. He was careful not to fluff up his gorgeous fur that he spent quite a while grooming, so he lay flat but still cautious. He knew that Windclan apparently liked to steal land, but they needed the extra space with all their cats. He was about to add more sassy remarks but thought better of it and simply glared at them. They appeared to not be bringing a fight, but still, he didn't know.

Two eyes peered silently out of the nursery. Yes, it was Withersnap, confused by all the ruckus. Her two, large eyes were tired and hard to keep open, but if those silly Clan leaders planned to commence battle, she would fight to defend her clan. She pulled her head in from the position and murmured to herself, "Why are they here? Trying to get their territory back-" she sat down, forcing her fur to return back to headquarters normal. "-and fighting us? What do we have that they don't?" With a growl, she slowly stepped out of the nursery, leaving her kittens for only a moment. The rather skinny cat trudged out and ended up standing stiffly behind Pinepaw.

OOC: Toy: it appears the patrol is still on the edge of the territory, not in camp.

Leopardfang was standing noticeably closer to Thrushstar than usual, though whether it was because of the desire to protect his leader or because he was uncomfortable in the open daylight was anyone's guess. His green eyes were half-squinted in an attempt to keep the harsh sunlight from burning into them for too long, and his face held an annoyed scowl. There was no room in this situation for joking in his opinion, but Leopardfang held back his cranky mood. An adrenaline-inducing encounter with more interesting cats, such as Falconstar and his own deputy, would wake the grumpy spotted cat right up. Until then, the spotted tom was completely silent.

His dark gaze followed Feathertail's movement closely at her approach. There seemed to be no signs of battle, but the fur on his neck still didn't lay flat. He remembered her from the last gathering. She didn't seem to approve of her leader's decision to keep SkyClan's part of the forest. Leopardfang sized up the cats accompanying the she-cat and concluded that none of them were a threat and managed to relax his tense muscles, wondering how in StarClan's name these cats could stand all of the wind that constantly battered them. Still the deputy remained quiet; he had no voice in this diplomatic situation yet.

Thrushstar wanted to acknowledge Breezestar's little joke and did so with a slight flick of his ears, but he knew that he had to keep his wits about him. This was a dangerous move they were making, even if it was for diplomatic reasons. He kept his eyes peeled on the vast expanse of Windclan territory until Feathertail appeared followed by not one but three more cats. When she had asked if they were here to see Falconstar, the Shadowclan leader turned towards her and dipped his head just enough to show respect. "Yes. We are not here to fight. We simply want to talk and discuss current events. Would you mind leading the way?" He found it a little strange that this same cat that had to deliver the news about Windclan keeping Skyclan's territory was now looking a little relieved. The leader was half expecting to get jumped.

Feathertail nodded. "Of course." She stated. She looked at the warriors around her, and her two kits. "You heard them, they are here on peaceful terms. So you can relax." She mewed mostly looking at Withersnap who had a small outburst. It didn't take long for the group to reached the camp. She had the group pause right by the enterance. "Wait here, until Falconstar comes out." She said, and disappeared to the leader's den to get her father. She expected one of the warriors to keep an eye on the small group.

Crowflight followed along remaining silent. As they journeyed he just looked at what was around. He spotted a rabbit running away at one point, but what he noticed the most was the various rabbit holes around the area. Once they reached the camp, he was kind of surprised. The camp was just as open as the territory. How did they hide from rain? It was weird. The deputy glanced over to his leader as they waited on Falconstar.

Blizzardwind followed the she cat and stopped and had one eye on the small ground and the other on his mate, Withersnap.

Falconstar cracked open an eye as Feathertail padded inside, having heard some unfamiliar voices coming from outside his den. "I suspect this has something to do with what's going on outside, Feathertail?" Standing up and stretching out his old limbs, he waited for his daughter to speak, so that he would know exactly what he was heading out to find.

"Yes." She said. "Breezestar, and Thrushstar are here to see you. They only came with their deputies. There was no ambush waiting. If there was we clearly would have seen them, they stick out on our territory to easily." The warrior informed her father, then stepping out of the way of the enterance so he could get past her if he wanted.

Kestrelpaw watched, his tall figure glaring hard at the newcomers. He remained silent as Feathertail entered Falconstar's den. When she was out of site, Kestrelpaw slid forward, eyeing Breezestar. "So you're the leader that can't even win back his own territory? Shouldn't you just merge with RiverClan by now?" he taunted coolly, looking down slightly. He twitched his grey ear, waiting for a response.

Blizzardwind turned on the apprentice. "Kestrelpaw show some respect! Breezestar is a leader and should be treated nicely. We took their territory away and they just want it back. I think we should give it back to Skyclan, we don't need that territory anyways, and that's their home. So be quite." The silver and light gray spotted Tom meowed sternly and strictly. The apprentice had no right to go and be rude to the leader.
