Firepaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for Clan meeting!"

Fishstar was glad that yet another apprentice had grown to the age of a warrior. With the influx of kits as of late, RiverClan had been growing steadily. The silver leader narrowed her eyes as she gazed off into the marshes - What had once been her territory. WindClan needed to go, and soon. Their greedy backsides would have to go elsewhere to hunt. With Leafbare in full swing, prey was becoming hard to come by. Leafbare already made hunting difficult on its own, but with Falconstar and his gang of mangy fox-hearts leeching off of Fishstar's lands, it would be even more difficult to feed her Clan. We'll have more warriors and apprentices in no time. When we have enough, I will drive them out. Then, we'll take back Sunningrocks from the fat forest thieves.

Firepaw bounded into the clearing and she sat down, energetically. She quickly groomed her fur down and she sat up straight with her shoulders raised and her chest puffed out.

OOC: Her warrior name will be Firestream by the way

"Firepaw, please step forward," the she-cat called.

OOC: Sorry for the late reply!

IC: Firepaw stepped forward, her tail flicking back and forth.

Vixenpaw watched with anticipation as her denmate, Firepaw was to receive her warrior name. What would it be? She wondered as she watched Fishstar on top of the Willow Branch majestically call out to StarClan.

OOC: Whoops, I never saw your reply to this. The notification never showed up. Weird.. Anyway, sorry for the wait.

IC:

Fishstar gazed down at the apprentice, taking on a serious expression. "I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in turn." The spotted leader looked to the sky, and then back down at the younger she-cat. "Firepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Firepaw nodded.
"I do," she replied with a loud voice.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name." Her voice took on a more light tone. "Firepaw, from this day forth, you shall be known as Firestream. RiverClan honours your dedication and loyalty."
