Spottedpaw, Mousepaw, Snowpaw and Firepaws Border Patrol

Mossstar yawned and stretched as he slipped out of his den into the fog filled air of morning. This would be an amazing day for a border patrol, with smell being the strongest sense without a strong sense of sight. He padded over to the apprentice den, quite cheerful for a foggy morning. He poked his head into the den entrance and meowed "Spottedpaw, Mousepaw, Snowpaw, Firepaw! Lets do a border patrol, NOW!" His tone stayed quite cheerful as he spoke, not really caring if he was too loud for the other apprentices, he was sure the other mentors would get the same idea for border patrols today.

Spottedpaw was up in a matter of seconds. Her first day as an apprentice! She stretched, shook herself, and trotted out of the apprentice den, excitement showing in every fiber of her being. "Border patrol?" she mewed, not being able to think of new words to say.

Firepaw near leapt into the air as his name was called and happened to speak way the same time as Spottedpaw, "Border Patrol?!?!"

Snowpaw quickly got up onto her paws and ran out of the den. She was so excited that she was going to see the outside of the camp! "Let's go!" She squeaked with excitement.

((We'll just have you three on this patrol, I'll catch Mousepaw up on training when Rainy gets on))

Mossstar sighed as Mousepaw didn't come from the apprentice den then meowed "We'll just go without Mousepaw today. Are all of you ready?"

Snowpaw nodded and waited eagerly near her mentor.

"Let's go!" Spottedpaw mewed. She was a little disappointed that Mousepaw wouldn't be joining them, but that wasn't much to compare to the fact that she was getting to see the borders today.

Mossstar nodded and turned quickly before loping down the gorse tunnel. He tried to keep his pace slow so his apprentices could keep up. Then he started thinking about if he should mix training into this one.

(Since I got way behind on this I'm going to make this a battle training/hunting too)

Spottedpaw scampered after her mentor/leader, her excessive amount of energy making up for the pace Mossstar had set, which, despite the fact that it had been slowed down, was a speed Spottedpaw hadn't been able to sustain much in the small ThunderClan camp.

Snowpaw excitedly ran out of camp after Mossstar. She couldn't wait to see what the other clans' territory looked like.

((*le sigh* I guess I'll leave Firepaw out too, lets just forget he was in here...))

Mossstar loped out of the tunnel and wheeled west towards the RiverClan border, not waiting for his apprentices. Soon he would have disappeared in the fog, but he was going to let the young cats find him. His scent would be strong back there, so they should be able to find him.

"Whoa, wait up!" Spottedpaw called, feeling that Mossstar was leaving them both behind. However, he seemed to ignore her and was soon completely out of sight. "He's really fast," Spottedpaw muttered as she lost sight of the tom, but she kept going, hoping he would've slowed down to help them catch up. "Mossstar was going this way, right?" she asked Snowpaw, continuing on the same path they had been taking.

Mossstar could barely see his apprentices and yowled "Smell the air!" Then he climbed up a nearby tree, using his claws to dig into the tree. Until he was on a low branch, but high enough they couldn't see him.

((Im gonna make a badger pop out and attack them, so let them only get to the base of the tree. It'll be some battle training and maybe a lost life for Moss.))

Spottedpaw was relieved that Snowpaw agreed with her, but didn't stay anything, focusing on catching up to her mentor. Her ears twitched as she heard a cat yowl something. It sounded like Mosstar's voice. "Shell a Hare?" she mewed in confusion, not having clearly heard him. After she thought about it, she realized what he'd said. "Oh, smell the air!" She immediately stopped, opening her mouth to pull in more air as she tried to detect his scent. "Then he's this way!" Spottedpaw mewed, speeding off on the scent trail, "Come on, Snowpaw!"
