Super Happy Fun Quick Patrol Times

Breezestar stood at the edge of the river, where the waters were shallow and it turned to curve just around their territory. "Come on, keep an ear out." The tom meowed, narrowing his eyes and stepping into the icy streams back onto their land. Thankfully, there was no scent of WindClan in the area that he could catch.

Crowpaw stood beside his leader, staring across at their territory. Out there was an enemy.. He didn't really want to face them again not yet at least. But there was patrols to be done. Crowpaw followed his leader back over to their territory.

Snowpaw followed Breezestar back into their territory. The water was really cold from the leaf-fall weather.

It felt good to be home again, even if they couldn't stay long. He leaped over several boulders, balancing on the slick granite and jumping into the towering trees, waiting for the two apprentices to follow. "So far, so good." He called, thinking aloud. "Why don't you two see if you can find some prey to take back with us?"

Crowpaw nodded. The apprentice moved a little ways from the other two, and caught sent of a squirrel. The dark apprentice caught sight of the rodent thing, and crouched down, creeping closer and closer. Once he was close enough he pounced. He quickly killed the squirrel with a swift blow. He picked up the squirrel and trotted back to the other two.

Snowpaw opened her mouth to taste the air. Soon she smelled something. Bird! she thought anxiously. Sandfeather taught her the perfect hunter's crouch. She crouched down, kept her tail from swishing around, and crept along the scent trail. She found it pecking some seeds. Soon, she sprang at it. The bird tried to flutter away, letting out an alarm, but she caught it. She picked it up and brought it back to Breezestar and Crowpaw.

"Good job you two," The gray tabby meowed with a low, quiet purr. It was good to see their hunting skills were still in tact. He bounded off into a few nearby branches, spotting a fat sparrow looking minding it's own. He hardly wasted any time before he pounced, swiping it in his claws and ending it's life with a swift bite to the neck.

He found an old abandoned owl hole. "Hide your prey in here for now and we can keep moving."

Crowpaw followed after Breezestar over to the hole. He carefully placed his piece of prey in the hole and followed after his leader.

Snowpaw walked up to the abandoned owl hole, then dropped the bird in it. She then walked over to Breezestar.

Once they had hid the prey away, he stuffed some leaves in the hole to mask the scent and kept on moving through the trees with strong leaps. "What do you two hear?" He asked them, "What do you smell?"

Crowpaw paused, and opened his mouth. "I smell a bird, our clan.. and some windclan.." He stated. "I hear birds."

Snowpaw closed her eyes, and opened her mouth. "I smell bird, our clan, and a small scent of WindClan. she meowed, "I can hear the bird's song."

Breezestar nodded in approval. After a while they reached the end of their territory and it was time to turn back. "Come on, let's get back to the clan." He told them, getting their prey on the way back.
