The fawn's first birth

With Goldenpaw's training coming to an end she felt heavier, slower. Thank goodness he'll be a warrior soon. She thought as she moved into the nursery a few moons earlier. Sleeping peacefully she was roused at the sharp pains coming from her tummy. What's wrong little one? She nosed her belly and clenched her teeth as the next contraction came. It's much too early! She whimpered and cried out for Nightfire. Don't worry little one we'll be fine.

Summitwind awoke hearing his mates cries and he jumped up out of bed as quick as he could grabbed the stick he had prepared and ran over to the nursery. "Fawnwillow! I'm here don't worry it'll be ok Nightfire should becoming soon." He meowed and palaced the stick near her head and tried to help as best as he could. Giving her comforting licks between the ears. Gently he went over to Cloverpool who was in the next best with Firekit and Pebblekit. "Cloverpool I need your help Nightfires not here and Fawnwillows about to give birth!" He hissed quietly to his aunt.

Cloverpools eyes shot open when she heard what Summitpaw was saying. Getting to her feet quickly but gently enough not to wake the sleeping kits next to her up. "Ol Fawnwillow it's gonna be ok deep breaths. And when you feel you need to push,push ok?" Being an expert at this by now since having two litters.

IC: The yellow tabby darted from his den to his mentor, crying loudly in pain.

Cloverpool turned to her son. "Shh my darling son. Birthing is very hard and requires no yelling." She purred gently and motherly.

Summitwind ingored his cousin so he could focus on his mate who was in pain. "Itll be over soon my love." The fiery orangish-yellow tom meowed but his blue eyes were wide.

Minnowpaw got up after her brother and came to the nursery.

Fawnwillow nodded and sucked in breaths, feeling it was time she heaved and moaned violently as she pushed. With her last cry of pain and tiny white bundle rolled onto the mossy nest and gave a weak cry. Craning her neck to inspect the kit she gasped, "Oh how beautiful!"

Summitwind eyes widened at his kit. He purred and licked his mate and kit. "What should we name her?" He purred and gently twined his tail with Fawnwillows.

Fawnwillow purred and nuzzled her beautiful daughter, when suddenly she felt another contraction. Heaving she managed to give a weak push, and out came a another gorgeous she kit. Sweeping her lovelies close and nuzzling the younger one she whispered exhaustedly. "Hello my dears, Whitekit for your snowy white fur, and Mothkit after I haven't a clue."

Mothkit, who was named spontaneously, curled up to her mother's belly, mewling quietly in the warmth. This world was strange, but she lived with the knowledge that she was safe, and her parents adored her and her sister.
