Birth of a new kit

Ravenfeather was pacing in the camp, her stomach keeping her from being able to lay down. It was cramping, and she knew why. Kits... she thought softly to herself. Wow..

Stormeye padded into the camp, a rabbit in his jaws. Dropping it on the fresh-kill pile,he padded to his mate. "How are you doing?" he asked, licking her ear.

"These kits are going to be the death of me.." she muttered softly, giving him a small smile.

"No, they won't. They will be great kits!" he purred, smiling back at Ravenfeather.

she rolled her eyes. "You're just excited to be a father, aren't you?" Ravenfeather questioned.

Stormeye smiled, flicking his tail."Of course I am! I'm also sure you will be a great mother."

Longpaw padded in on the conversation "I am glad to hear your almost ready to have kits," he smiled gladley, turning to Stormeye he meowed "Go get a stick, it'll help her releive some pain as she does give birth." he ordered, "It won't be long now" he meowed padding up to Ravenfeather and studied her belly.

Foxpaw padded by, "Kits?" She mewed with joy. Maybe some kits will bring some fun back into WindClan, since the so called 'sign' has scared us...

"Pain..." Ravenfeather mumbled out loud, growling softly. That was the one thing she was not looking forward to.

Stormeye nodded to Longpaw, quickly hurrying out of the camp to get a stick. He returned moments later with a stick firmly clasped in his jaws. He dropped it at the paws of Longpaw. "Is this one good?" he asked, ready to go get a new one if needed. When Ravenfeather gives birth to his son he wanted it to be as painless as it could be for his lovly mate.

"Yep." he meowed turning around he examined the pile "theres still lots of Poppyseeds left so take a few and give it to her before she bites the stick, not too much to make her drowsy though, I'll be getting the borage ready first" he instructed.

ooc: I thought they dont use poppy seeds because they need to know when the kit is coming ono

Occ: We are talking about when the kits are coming, and they use the ripples and contracts in the body to know when the kits are about to come during the kitting, not pain.

OOC: Plus Longpaw told him ti get just enough to numb the extreme pain and he is aware it would make a little drowsy
