Birth Topic (For Swiftkit, Foxkit, Thistlekit, and Snakekit)

Feathertail moved to the nursery not to long ago, her stomach was getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. Finally came the point where she couldn't do much anymore, and gave up and moved to the nursery. Well it was about mid-day when Feathertail started to feel her kits come. The gray she cat bit back a yowl trying to supress the pain she was feeling at the moment. When it passed she breathed a sigh of relief, but she forgot about the next pain that would be coming. The next wave of pain hit, and Feathertail let out a yowl, probably making the camp aware of what was going on or making them think she was being attacked.

Gorsefeather, being a medicine cat in a time when there was relative peace, had his den meticulously organised and stocked. WindClan's could be attacked by a dog, then a fire, and a plague of greencough, but he'd still have enough herbs. Which was why when he heard Feathertail cry, he scooped up the prepared bundle of herbs he'd readied in advance for the birth of her kits. It contain borage, chervil, and burnet. Everything a kitting queen could possibly need.

So within seconds, he was out the den and outside the nursery with a bundle of herbs in his jaws. This wasn't the first time he'd helped with a kitting so he wasn't nervous. Especially since this wasn't Feathertail's first litter. So calmly, he set the bundle down for a second and called out from outside. "Feathertail, it's Gorsefeather. I'm coming in."

The pain was really bad, but she was relieved that Gorsefeather was here. "I'm so glad you are here.. Please hurry and help me. This is painful." Even though this is her second time giving birth she could tell there were a lot more this time than one. "I have a feeling there is more than one this time."

Just looking at the queen, Gorsefeather could see there was definitely more than one kit. And with more kits came complications. Quickly, the calico bit the leave holding the bundle together, and revealed it's contents. He grabbed the burnet and chevil, placing the mouthful near the queen. "Here, this will help with the pain and give you strength. If it's like you say, you'll need it."

He gently place a paw on her belly, and then gave the queen a quick lick on the forehead. He gave a relived sigh when she seemed to be at a normal temperature. No birthing fever. Though there seemed to be close to about three to four kits. Which meant this would most likely be a straight forward kitting, but a lengthy one. "I know you know from last time, but remember to push only when you feel the urge. You look like you might have three or four in there."

Feathertail looked at the herbs for a moment before scooping them in her mouth and eating them. Even though it tasted bad she knew it would help with her pain. The she-cat took steady breaths, and started pushing when she felt she was ready. Soon after a on kit appeared. (This can be Swiftkit) After that kit was out the queen went back to heavy breathing.

Gorsefeather quickly leant down and pulled the kit away for now, licking the kit clean and keeping him warm for now. Feathertail had more kits coming, and in pain, a queen could thrash and harm her kits accidentally. Despite the mewling protests, he kept the little tom close for now.

"You're doing well." He encouraged Feathertail, hoping that the chervil was helping.

Feathertail groaned as the pain came again, but pushed like she was told to. It took her a moment to get this kit out, but once it was out she was relieved. (This one can be Foxkit) But this wasn't the end. She still had one or two more kits to go.
