Dogs!! [open]

The sun was almost rising as Thrushstar sat in the middle of the camp waiting for the warriors and apprentices that were going on the hunting patrol to join him. Since it had been quite some time since he'd really hunted, he figured he would change up his routine a little bit. Maybe it could help him out some. "Maybe we will have good luck today," he said to himself as he looked around the camp for anyone that was going to come with him.

Cinderpaw enjoyed the life of an apprentice, learning new things and exploring the territory. ShadowClan was the best Clan to this cat, and there's no way the she-cat would want to miss a hunting patrol. Hunting had been her favourite activity ever since her mentor, Moonsong, taught her to hunt. Climbing out of the apprentices' den, Cinderpaw padded into the clearing and waited for the other ShadowClan cats to join this patrol. I hope Moonsong joins, too!

Leopardpaw stretched his hind legs before walking casually to where the patrol was meeting. He didn't care much for hunting, but it was necessary to survival so he would do it. Dipping his head to Thrushstar in respect, he sat next to Cinderpaw and offered a friendly purr. "How's your training going, Cinderpaw?"

Cinderpaw looked up at Leopardpaw after cleaning her paw and rubbing it against her ear. In a way, Cinderpaw felt quite glad her denmate asked her how she's going. "It's been fun!" she replied with a friendly purr, "Moonsong took me hunting. What about you, Leopardpaw? You've been an apprentice longer than me!" she pointed out to the tom, assuming that Leopardpaw would've experienced a bit more as an apprentice.

Looking at the two apprentices that joined him, Thrushstar watched them closely. "Greetings, you two," he said. "Are you the only two coming?" he asked. It wasn't exactly the patrol he was counting on, but it would do.

Moonsong hurried after Cinderpaw and said "Wait up!" She stopped when she met up with Thrushstar. "Greetings Thrushstar." Moonsong said to her leadder

He hesitated at her question. "I've... not gotten very far. I have only recently learned to hunt, but that's it." His voice grew bitter towards the end of his end sentence. Leopardpaw sighed and looked at Thrushstar and Moonsong, irritated and ready to get a move on.

"Wait!" Shadepaw skidded into a halt. "Like I'm gonna let you four have the fun! She laughed. "Hi Leopardpaw.."" She murmured as she remembered what happened not to long ago.

Cinderpaw felt glad when Moonsong joined the gathered cats. "Moonsong!" she greeted, satisfied to see her mentor. Hearing how Leopardpaw's apprenticeship is going, the she-cat felt a bit concerned. Only hunting? "Well, at least you can join this hunting patrol!" she positively mewed to the tom. Finding Shadepaw, Cinderpaw realised that the patrol was mostly made up of apprentices. At least Moonsong is here.. but would any other warrior join?

Looking around and dipping his head towards Moonsong, Thrushstar gave a quick glance towards Shadepaw too. "Greetings, both of you," he said. "This looks like it's enough. Is everyone ready to go? Our freshkill pile is getting rather low..." he said before standing up and heading towards the entrance of the camp. "Let's go!"

Sandpaw ran over " wait I'm coming " she mewed as she joined them she looked to the others for a moment.

OOC: Choo choo, the apprentice train is going!

IC: Cinderpaw felt excitement when she followed Thrushstar out of camp. My first patrol! As the she-cat headed for the camp entrance, she heard Sandpaw catch up, and Cinderpaw gave her a welcoming nod. "I hope we catch something big," she mewed out loud, "The fresh-kill pile isn't going to replenish itself!" Oh StarClan, please let this hunting patrol be a good one!

"I'm ready when you are." Moonsong said. She hasnt hunted herself in a while, only went with Cinderpaw to help her with hers.

Magpiepaw had just emerged from the apprentice den when he spotted a group of cats leaving for a patrol. It had been a while since he got out of camp, and with Jayclaw growing older each day, he knew it would be a good opportunity to learn something. Not to mention Thrushstar was leading the patrol! Maybe I can get to talk to him!

Running up to his idol and friends, he found himself at the end of the line. "You can't leave without your best apprentice!" he chriped. The cheerful little tom smiled and sauntered along, happy to be out of camp for once.

Mottlepaw followed after the other apprentices. He hadn't been out of the camp before so he raced after the other the giant group that was leaving the camp. "I'm coming too!" He said. Shortly after he fell in line with the other ones, walking beside Magpiepaw.
