Oh feck, Fire. [OPEN TO TC CATS]

Blazingheart ran over to his leader and pushed against the branch. "Stormpaw, Daisypaw, Firepaw, get out of here," he yelled as his shoulders burned with pain. "Frozenflame, help put out the fire!" The flames licked the branch and threatened to light the tom on fire.

Frozenflame rushed to get sand, picking it up in his mouth and throwing it onto the fire. "Kids! Leave, now!" The worried father continued to help put it out as much as he could. "Guys, go to the river! The fire won't go past the water!"

Soaringpaw came out of the nursery, looking around. The kits were all to safety, along with the queens. A snapping sound came from above before a branch fell down and crashed on him. The tabby tom yowled out in pain, fire crawling up his back.

"Soaringpaw, no!" The grey and cream she-cat leaped over to the tabby. "Someone help!" Stormpaw tried to push the branch off like the other cats were doing with Robinpaw.

Coalpaw saw and her eyes widened the medicine cat ran over quickly mother can you help " She  mewed as she ran past her mother to Soaringpaw. She started to lift at the branch. Though she froze just as seen hrlped her mother lift the branch hearing her mentor asking her to get some herbs. She panicked almost and had to decide to help Soaringpaw or get the herbs. She hesitated unsure what she should do.


Soon Softsong followed her daughter and tried to lift the branch off of her adopted son. She managed to lift it some and with Coalpaw  it moved up some but they'd still need help.

Sunpaw jerked awake, and his fur bristled when he smelled a strong scent of fire, and his heart started beating fast. Quickly, he bustled out of the apprentices' den, checking for any apprentices that were still asleep. But there weren't, he realized with relief. (ooc: Sorry if there were, I'm just trying to move Sunpaw along)

Sunpaw dashed to the middle of the clearing. He saw Stormpaw, Coalpaw, and Softsong struggling to lift a heavy branch. He suppressed a yowl of fear and surprise when he saw Soaringpaw caught underneath it, fire burning his back. He heard a yowl of pain come from his fellow apprentice. Hissing, Sunpaw bounded over to help, and thrust his shoulder under the branch. Using all his strength, he heaved upward, making the branch move a bit. But there still wasn't enough space for a cat to get in or out, and he suppressed panic.

Looking at Coalpaw and Softsong, he mewed quickly and urgently, "At the count of three, heave with all your strength and try to move the branch as high as it can." Turning to Stormpaw, he added, "When we've done that, go underneath and try to get Soaringpaw." Sunpaw felt a small pang of guilt when he realized he shouldn't have given orders like that, but he had thought it was an idea he had to tell them. But he knew he had told them the plan with an order-like tone, and he looked at Softsong with an apologizing look, silently asking her if they should carry out his plan or follow one of hers.

Rainpaw grabbed a bunch of rocks and sand and pushed it towards the fire, hurling it in.

Specklefur was panicking major, she hadn't the paws to save the other apprentices. Choking down grief she decided to go with her mentors orders, launching forwards the powerful she-cat rammed violently against the branch. "All of you, do not lift it off, roll it off! I'll come off faster, it may be risky too but you can suffocate the fire on your fur easier!" She yowled, clenching her teeth and suppressing a whole fit of coughs, feeling the branch move and heave a bit the she-cat repeated the ramming, hoping to get it off before they themselves got burned to death. On the final heave with Nighfires help with his heavy build the she-cat managed to over-turn it and roll it off the apprentice before lashing around and breaking down into a fit of coughing, it took a while for her to regain her composure but once she did so she shot to her paws to bark more orders and to shoo all the cats she could out of camp.

Softsong nodded giving the apprentice a look that said it was fine. "Alright so let's do as Sunpaw suggested and Stormpaw be ready to get Soaringpaw "Softsong mewed before looking to Coalpaw.

Coalpaw nodded though she knew her mentor asked her to grab some herbs she was in a bind at the moment and couldn't leave them to handle the burning branch alone. She was worried about Soaringpaw and would save him if she could. She nodded " let's get him free of this " she mewed with a bit of strain.

With the last heave, Nightfire had the branch off of Robinpaw, and quickly looked at his apprentice, currently saving another apprentice. "Hold on Robinpaw." he mewed before rushing over, he saw a couple of the cats push on the branch, and with his last shove, he rolled the branch off Soaringpaw. "Now get those herbs Coalpaw! We have to get out of here! Leave the rest to the warriors, we are medicine cat and apprentice! This is our job to heal the cats after this. They can handle the rest" He pushed Stormpaw slightly towards Soaringpaw, and rushed back over to his sister. Grabbing her by the scruff, his huge body and muscles easily lifted her up off the ground. Rushing towards a burnt opening, he ran towards Sunningrocks, laying Robinpaw down on the rocks. "Let me have a look at you"

Spottedstar looked around camp, and yowled at the apprentices again. "Either help get special herbs or get out of camp!" rushing over to Olivepaw and Echopaw, she saw them shoving sand and rocks to put out and block the fire. "You guys get out of camp now. We will handle this." she began scraping sand into the fire, seeing her efforts only help the fire back from spreading to her.

Echopaw nodded her head, rushing to help other apprentices out of camp. But Olivepaw wouldn't. "No! I need to help out here!" he shoved another rock into line, his paws burning.

Coalpaw blinked then nodded"ok ok sorry "She mewed quickly and darted into the Medicine Cat's  den and to the herb storage as quickly as she could. "Bindweeds.. cobwebs, comfrey roots.. and tansy She mumbled repeating it to herself. She reached and pulled out the sticky items that was the cobwebs.She then reached in and pulled out an arrow headed shaped herb quickly,bindweed. Then she grabbed the others and as quickly and as carfully as she could she rushed off out of the medicine cats den to her mentor.

Growling as she watched the fire getting closer the she-cat looked around the camp, rushing towards her leader she nodded to her then leaned down to grasp Olivepaws scruff. Turning towards a gap in the camp walls the she-cat violently chucked the apprentice into the hole with a yowl, "Get out of here! We got this!" She spat, watching as the apprentices were leaving. Turning back to the warriors still in camp with a snarl, raising her voice and trying to make the talking quick, "I know this is not my place to speak, but Spottedstar please evacuate, you are a important asset to this clan and there are cats who need you lead! I and the other warriors will forestall the fire as the clan goes! If you as so reject I will drag you out of this camp myself!" She challenged, even as she spoke and acted all brave she was petrified.

Lionpaw, who had just returned from the border patrol he had been on, ran into the camp with a frantic look in his eyes. Calling out into the smoke filled camp, Lionpaw's voice carried. "Daisypaw! Daisypaw where are you?!" A moment later he called out again, heading towards the nursery. "Littlefang?! Goldenpaw??? Sunpaw!!!"

Ghostpaw, an extremely heavy sleeper, only now started to wake up. Choking on the smoke the white and grey tom looked around, groggy and confused.

Daisypaw heard Lionpaw calling her, she ran about to find him, only to find a flaming branch blocking her path. She turned to run back, and there was another. She was surrounded, trapped. She accidentally backed into one of the burning branches, and she yelped as her leg was burned. "Someone! Help!" She choked.

Goldenpaw looked around, and ran back into the apprentices' den, and yowled to Ghostpaw, "Come on! The forest is burning, and you're sleeping! RUN!" Then she sprinted out to Daisypaw, and found a way for her to escape the flames. As Daisypaw was released, she let out a weak cry of pain as a flame touched her white tail tip. She ran back to the apprentices' den, and said to Ghostpaw, "HURRY!"

Foxfang’s head jerked up when he heard multiple cries for help and watched as his clanmates aided the apprentices that were trapped underneath burning branches. Wordlessly, he leaped forward and scuffed sand onto the branches and hid them under the earth as quickly as he could. “Move your tail and help everyone escape!” he shouted over the roar of the inferno to the cats standing around in confusion and shock. Not daring to stay still any longer, the warrior spread whole piles of dirt and sand across the edges of the clearing. Above him he could sense their bracken wall burning. They’d be vulnerable until it grew back, which may take moons.

Duskfall took one look at the pandemonium and made up his mind. All the apprentices had to leave, they were far too young to be dealing with this. All the kits were accounted for and heading towards camp, they just needed to evacuate the rest. He, too, wished there was a way to stop this fire or save the camp, but the infernos were too strong. Staying risked death.

"All apprentices out now! Head to the river. Softsong, Frozenflame, Hawkstrike, lead them there. Specklefur, Foxfang, help me check the camp for any stragglers. We must act quickly. Spottedstar, please, as Specklefur said, lead our clan to the River and keep them safe. You are our leader and we can't risk you losing a life in this fire. We need you more than ever."


Hawkstrike followed her father's instructions, running over to yank her daughter Daisypaw away from the flames. To her son and Goldenpaw, she flicked her tail for them to follow.

"My sweets, we need to go. You heard your grandfather, we must flee." She spoke with a slight frantic edge taking over her voice as she looked on at the wounds her kits had suffered. The cream she-cat had never experienced such horrors in her life and was unlikely to forget anytime soon. The smell of burning flesh, it was truly horrifying. But not as horrifying as when she realised that she hadn't seen Firepaw in a while. "Frozenflame! Where's Firepaw?!"

Firepaw, on Duskfall's orders, had gone to apprentice den to help, but on the way had been sidetracked. A stray branch was dangling above the nursery, and the apprentice had ducked in to check no one was left inside. But that was a fatal mistake, the branch had fallen down straight afterwards, trapping the tom inside with no hope of escape. The fire hadn't touched him, but the smoke was suffocating him so that he couldn't even yowl for help. He was doom.

"Duskfall, I'm not leaving!" Stormpaw lay down next to Soaringpaw, who was hardly conscience and taking in staggery breaths. The tabby tom was badly burnt and his left back leg was limp, broken but not permanently. Stormpaw shoved her head under Soaringpaw's body, trying to lift him up onto her back. "I'm not going without Soaringpaw!" The she-cat managed to get the tabby onto her back, but struggled to carry him. 

Frozenflame didn't wanna leave. He had to help fight the fire, which his dad had told him to do. At his mate's question, the multi-colored tom raced into action, searching every den. The nursery was blocked due to a flaming branch...could Firepaw be in there? "Firepaw! Are you in there?"

Blazingheart was relieved once the branch was rolled off. His shoulders stung with burns, but he ignored the pain. The ginger tabby looked to help someone and saw his granddaughter. "Stormpaw, you have to leave now! I'll take care of Soaringpaw!" At Stormpaw's hiss and look of determination, Blazingheart knew that he had to leave this for her to deal with. Instead, he ran over to Frozenflame. "Son, we can't fight the fire. We must leave right now! It's too much to handle!" But Frozenflame was trying to remove the branch.
