The air is tense [OPEN TO TC CATS WHO APPLIED FOR WAR]

The air was still and misty as Duskfall sat in the clearing strung up tight with nerves at the knowledge that today was the day. Today they would attack Riverclan, take Sunningrocks back, and prove victorious. They would avenge Tawnypaw, and let her finally rest in peace as she deserved. It still pained him to think of her death and the death of Coalfur, they both deserved better than the deaths fate granted them. His only relief was the knowledge they were with Starclan now.

The ambush was to take place early morning while most cats were asleep. Thunderclan would have the disadvantage in the reed land of the fishfaces, thus they needed to be careful. Duskfall had spoken with Spottedstar about the first battle and the surprising strength of Riverclan, but they would not lose again. Not with their leader and deputy behind them, leading them to victory.



Hawkpaw was one of the first to awaken, and after nudging her fellow apprentices to awaken, she dashed out eagerly to greet her father. While their relationship was tense at the moment, she wanted to prove to him that she could be trusted. That she was a code following loyal warrior of Thunderclan.

"Father." She ducked her head as she approached. Taking seat near him in the misty clearing. "Good morning."

Frozenpaw was the second one to awake. He had been nudged by Hawkpaw to wake up, so he followed her out. It was still fairly dark out and the mist added an eerie feeling to the camp. Frozenpaw took a big swallow as he joined the two cats in the clearing. "Hi, Hawkpaw, hi Duskfall" He purred. Frozenpaw had been growing some sort of crush on the she-cat since they were kits. He wished he knew if she liked him to. Frozenpaw was to embarrassed to tell her his feelings.

A ginger tabby warrior stretched in the warriors den before leaving and padding out into the creepy camp. "Good morning, Duskfall. Hello Hawkpaw and Frozenpaw," Blazingheart greeted as he sat down next to his best friend, Duskfall. "This is a good night to attack. The misty air will help disguise our scent. And the moon isn't bright, so we shouldn't be easily spotted."

Redpaw, a red-furred apprentice slowly walked out of the den. His golden eyes glowed bright in the dark that there was and his fur was disheveled. He easily stood out with his fur, but he could still be sly and sneaky. This was going to be Redpaw's first battle. He was sad that his brother hadn't been chosen to come along, but his brother was more of a hunter then a fighter so it made sense. "Hello," he said to everyone, sitting down with all the cats.

Lavenderwish awoke as well, pushing her way into the clearing from the warriors den. She was ready to battle, and avenge the death of her sister, Tawnypaw. Seeing Hawkpaw, Redpaw, Frozenpaw, Blazingheart and Duskfall, she headed towards them, sitting down beside Redpaw.

Specklefur took time to wake herself up as she emerged from the warrior den, the commotion had awoken her from her sleep -which she was glad of because she would have accidentally slept through the battle that she was participating in. - Stretching out her limbs with a massive yawn the she-cat padded towards the gathering cats, giving her rough and long pelt a shake before sitting down and settling crouched in her spot. If the same cats were there she was hoping to get revenge from the last battle, she'd take out Otterfur first then bring down that apprentice that had ended the battle. It bugged her a lot to know she was taken out by a apprentice, but then again she was trying to take down one cat and avoiding another.

Whitepaw had woken up, a startled expression plastered to her small face. Her white fur fluffed out in fear, it took a moment for her to calm down. Her foggy eyes blindly looked around, before the apprentice stood. Letting her nose guide her out of the den, she padded forward to where her clan rested. Pausing as her whiskers came in contact with another cat, she sat, sniffing the figure beside her. Barely recognizing the scent as Duskfall's, she sat quietly, wondering how helpful she would be in this battle. Palegaze had taught her well, despite her blindness, but the she-cat had never tested her abilities in a real battle. The white apprentice dug her claws into the damp earth, stretching her paws to prepare for the ambush on RiverClan.

"Morning, Blazingheart. Children." He addressed his kits and Frozenpaw as a collective, passing over his daughter's greeting. That was a can of worms he was unwilling to touch yet. Instead he continued chatting with his old friend, and most trusted clanmate (after his mate), Blazingheart. "Thinking like a tactician so early in the morning? I was just glad it wasn't raining."

To the rest of the clan, Duskfall greeted them with a simple good morning as they all waited for Spottedstar and Flameclaw to awaken. He did however take note of Whitepaw who sat near him, remembering that she was blind. She was Palegaze's apprentice, thus he had no doubt she was battle ready, but made a note to himself to keep an eye on her just in case during the battle.

"Frozenpaw!" Hawkpaw immediately dashed over to sit next to the tom, pushing past her disappointment that her father had ignored her. She was always glad for his company, and being with him made her feel not only confident, but safe. With her youth and inexperience, she didn't understand that what she was feeling was attraction, but perhaps the battle would awaken something within her. "This is your first real battle, isn't it? Are you excited?"

OOC: Trying to find a non eye-searing shade of yellow is surprisingly hard.

Soft song soon woke and stretched padding from the Warriors den. The silver and grey she cat padded over to join the others. She looked to every cat before sitting with Duskfall,her mate,and Blazingheart.

Littlepaw scrambled out of the den, remembering the ambush was today. "I'm sorry, are we leaving yet?" His fur was messy and undone, and his eyes were glazed from sleep. Looking around, he realized everyone was looking at him. He relaxed, realizing they weren't. He groomed his fur quickly before settling down.

Thornfang woke up in his nest in the warriors den and realized that today was the day that they would take down riverclan, or hope to take them down. He padded out of the den to greet his clanmates. "Today is the day." He said allowed.

"Indeed, Thornfang." The brown tom spoke in agreement with the older warrior. Thornfang had fought bravely in the last battle, and Duskfall was glad to have him on his side again. "May Starclan lead us to victory."

Thornfang nodded as he glanced at the scar that he received from last battle. It was a great loss from RiverClan. Many cats were injured and some died, if he remembered right. He was determined to fihgt Riverclan to get back what is rightfuly theirs. He rubed his scar with his paw to try and rub it away but new it was no use. The scar was deep and be there forever.

OOC: Just waiting on Rose and Coon, once they post I'll make the invasion post :) Or they can make it. Someone will and we can all fight till the cows come home.

OOC: Sorry my internet was out for 2 or 3 days. Now we just wait for le Coon.

IC: Spottedstar sat in her den, listening to the murmur of her clan starting to mingle, even while she had been up almost just before. She had only been thinking to herself the entire time. Tawnypaw, Coalfur, but most importantly, Dewstar. Her leader had meant a lot to her, and still did. Not only did the deaths of her clanmates provoke this attack, but her promise to the past leader of taking back Sunningrocks for her. She would not disappoint Dewstar, even in Starclan.

Standing up, she walked out of the den and stood in front of her waiting clan. Waiting for the noise to quiet now, she gathering herself.

"We have lost precious clanmates to Riverclan. Coalfur, and Tawnypaw. But not only will we get our revenge for their lives, we have another purpose. Before our previous leader, Dewstar, passed away, we made a promise, that I would take back Sunningrocks for her." she paused, letting the points of this battle sink in. "We will show them that we are not cowards! We will take back what is our and we will show them what it is to mess with Thunderclan. If they want to cause the death of our clanmates, we will give them scars of their shame!" she gave a growl and flicked her tail. "Now get ready, we are departing soon."

Flameclaw walked into camp from doing whatever it was that she was doing that morning, just in time to hear her leaders words. Sadness tugged at the Flameclaw's heart at the mention of Dewstar, but she had a duty to fulfil. She looked at Spottedstar and nodded an agreement to her words.

Blazingheart nodded a greeting to each cat who gathered. When his leader came, Blazingheart listened carefully and let her words stir his heart. Rage ran through him as he thought of Coalfur and Tawnypaw. They were good clanmates, taken by the fishfaces.

Frozenpaw purred at Hawkpaw. "Yeah, it is my first battle. I'm actually a  little nervous. Is it your first batlle too?" He asked before the leader spoke. Frozenpaw was  ready to fight for  his clan, even though he'd rather not battle. He was loyal and trustworthy, a good clan member. He wasn't very strong...he was rather small and quick on his paws. Frozenpaw was a better hunter then fighter, being swift and fast, but he was gonna fight till the end.

Redpaw was redy to battle. He had trained hard and was gonna fight hard. The ginger tom couldn't wait to sink his claws into Riverclan cats. This was a good way to prove his loyalty.
