Not Suspicious At All [For Sunpaw, and other WC Cats Welcome]

"Sunpaw?" Nettlepaw called out quietly as she padded into the medicine cat den early in the morning. She had received permission to help Sunpaw look for herbs as planned, and was ready to go find her brother. She had waited all night to break this news to her friend, but had the sense to wait a night. But early morning was as long as she could wait. So she was here, calling out for her friend to join her on a quest to find her missing brother. "Are you awake?"

Sunpaw was awake, alright. He had traveling herbs packed up. "Let's see.. Labm's Ear could work, I suppose... Ragweed would give us strength.. Hmm.. I'll pack some cobwebs, too.. Ragwort Leaves, of course! Chickweed for her minor Greencough, or was it Whitecough. Eh, either one. Juniper Berries, definetely.." He went on with his listing until he heard Nettlepaw. He wrapped the herbs in Ivy Leaf's and carried them in his mouth. "Yes, I'm ready and awake!" He announced, but it came out muffled. He dropped the leaves and grabbed the soft and fuzzy green plant that was Lamb's Ear. "Eat up." He said, throwing a bit to her. He ate some himself. "It will help give you strength and will give you more speed if we have a run in with rogues." He announced, and picked up the bundle again.

"Ugh." Nettlepaw groaned before she could stop herself, it had been bad enough when her greencough was at it's worst. Eating herbs was awful, and something she'd always hate. It wasn't the flavour, but more the act of eating a plant that made her feel like a rabbit. But she ate it anyway, wolfing it down in one large gulp.

"Sure you don't want to take the rest of the medicine den with you?" She teased when she noticed the rather large bundle of herbs Sunpaw had in his grasp. Nettlepaw truly did appreciate how thoughtful the other cat was, but just couldn't help herself.

Sunpaw rolled his eyes. "Come on, Nettlepaw." He led her through the camp, making sure no one noticed how many herbs he had. That would be very suspicious considering they were "gathering herbs".

The calico she-cat mreowed in amusement as she trailed along besides the medicine cat apprentice. She curbed her desire to race off, and trailed along besides him, occasionally serving as a shield from the eyes of clanmates so they'd not notice the herb bundle. Once they were outside camp, she felt safe enough to speak freely.

"So, do you have any idea where these rogues that took Smokekit could be?"

He scneted the air. "I still.. Faintly smell him. His scent lingers by the bushes to the North. But that leads to Riverclan.. You know, it might not have been rogues. Riverclan needs all the kits they can get. They possibly stole your brother.."

But little did they know Smokekit was getting ready to flee already, knowing he missed his dear sister.

"They wouldn't dare." Nettlepaw hissed in disbelief. Surely the fish eating cats would know better than to steal kits. That's the sort of behaviour she'd expect of a Shadowclan cat. But then again, she'd never met a Riverclan cat before, and maybe they were desperate enough. Nettlepaw pawed at the ground in frustration. "What are we going to do if it's a Riverclan cat that took him? What if he's forgotten me?"

CloudPatches walked into the medicine cat den and looked around at the herbs storage. "SunPaw! Get in here!" He swished his tall angrily as he eyed the mess that had been left behind. His apprentice had never made this much of a mess. Looking outside he spotted SunPaw with NettlePaw. "What are you giving him all those herbs for his not that sick. That's enough for two cats! Bring those here!" He wanted to take a look at what he had given NettlePaw. Some looked like strengthening herbs. If NettlePaw could speak correctly and wasn't weasing to death he wouldn't need those.

Sunpaw gasped and dropped the bundle. "Oh, no..." He brought them over to Cloudpatches. "Um, I think I grabbed too many. She's sick and they're all next to each other. And because they're still snow it may take a bit, ya know? Just take out the ones we probably won't be needing, it's fine." He didn't want to sounds too... suspicious..

CloudPatches went through it and grumbled. "Now clean up this mess you made I know I didn't make it!" Going through his entire bundle. Looking out to where NettlePaw was still he said. "You know your not supposed to have a mate right SunPaw?" Finally finishing the herbs he said. "These are traveling herbs is NettlePaw going to the MoonStone?"

"I'm not his mate!" Nettlepaw piped up after listening for a while as the two cats spoke. Sunpaw was only a friend, a great friend, but still a friend. Also the warrior code was clear that they could be nothing more than friends. And she was okay with that. Really. He was just a friend. "Also we were going to travel near the Riverclan border to gather herbs. I was just going to help him."

Sunpaw nodded. "Not mates." He said firmly, but he did secretly like her, just a little. "And we might go around a bit, considering we need more Catmint and Chickweed."

CloudPatches mumbled to himself. "Then why the strengthening herbs you guys should be okay just to walk. And I've checked the catmint it'll need time for it to grow back SunPaw don't expect herbs to grow in one day just because cats need them." He chuckled at the two as they shouted they weren't mates. Hopefully that would follow through.

"Well, we might get tired since Nettlepaw is still getting over the remains of her greencough, then how would we get home." He shrugged. "Alright, bye Cloudpatches!" He said and grabbed just one patch of strengthening herbs."

Nettlepaw couldn't help laugh a little as they ran off together. They had been so close to being caught by Cloudpatches. Luckily, he thought they were just two silly kits in love. Which definitely wasn't what was going on. They were on a serious quest to find her brother. And there was nothing romantic between them. She'd bet on the juiciest hare that Sunpaw felt nothing for her other than friendship. And she definitely didn't find him attractive. There was nothing attractive about his rich golden pelt that had black spots that stood out starkly. Or his yellow eyes that seemed to be so wise, yet caring. No, she didn't find him attractive at all.

"Let's go to the Riverclan border for now, like we told Cloudpatches. Maybe we'll find something there."

(OOC: So I'm thinking they'll run into Drift and Shimmerlight around the Riverclan border, and they'll scent Smokekit on them. Thus having an awkward misunderstanding where they accuse the pair of stealing kits for the Riverclan? Or we can leave out Shimmerlight if Bloom is busy.)
