Coalkit's and Duskkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Flameclaw walked up to the highrock. Spottedstar had been sick and couldn't preform ceremonies, and this was the first time Flameclaw would be on the rock. Gathering strength in her muscle, the deputy jumped onto the highrock, and let out a yowl, "Let all cats old enough to cacth their own prey gather beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Coalkit and Duskkit raced out of the nursery, there mother barely having time to keep up. Their fur was all slicked down and immaculate as they sat down under highrock, chests puffed up with pride. They knew what Flameclaw was calling a clan meeting about, and they were so ready. They curled their tails around each other in silent support as they gazed up at the ginger she-cat.

"Coalkit, and Duskkit. It's time for both of you to become apprentices. Coalkit, from this moment on you will be known as Coalpaw, and I shall be you mentor." The deputy turned her head slightly to look at Duskkit, "Duskkit, from this moment on you shall be known as Duskpaw, and I shall be your mentor as well." Flameclaw said looking at the two new apprenctices.

The pair barely breathed throughout the ceremony, this was the most excited they'd ever been so far in their short lives. When Flameclaw finally finished speaking the sacred words, Coalpaw and Duskpaw both approached their respective mentors to touch noses. Once they did, they stood proudly as they were greeted with the clan's joyful cheers.

"Coalpaw! Duskpaw! Coalpaw! Duskpaw!" Their mother's cheer was the loudest, making them puff up with pride before the clan. They were now apprentices, and their world just got a whole lot bigger.
