Don't question it, Just appreciate the adorableness [open]

A small brown and white tom had snuck away from his mother's nest that morning, tired already of being stuck in the crowded den for one day; being stuck between kits way older or smaller than him, overlooked and half-minded. The only thing he liked doing in the den was throwing a moss ball around, and even that got old quickly, if Honeywhisker didn't get on his case first for making a mess.
No, there were far better ways to have fun and play. Otterkit smiled to himself and snuck away from the den, running out and around the camp before finding what he was looking for, a freshly made puddle. He'd much prefer the small stream outside the camp, but he didn't want to go it alone and risk getting in trouble. This would have to do.
Leaning forward, he gazed down into the reflection, green eyes curiously staring back at him as he looked so closely his nose poked into the water. For a moment, he looked bewildered at the ripples the water made, forming small circles in the pool. Eyes wide, he poked at the puddle with a paw, more rings forming at his touch. With a small purr of great amusements, his dabs grew and grew until he was soon jumping around and splashing in the entire puddle, forgetting if there was anyone else nearby.

Icekit tumbled out of the nursery, following Otterkit with a blank look. She padded up behind her brother and poked his side. "What are you doing?" She asked impatiently. "You could get sick and you know how Mom can be when one of us gets sick."

Streamkit, who hadn't been role played in a long time, was hiding in the reeds nearby, waiting for a warrior's tail to aimlessly wander by. She then saw a small brown kit pad up to a puddle near the warriors den. She thought she had heard this kit called... Otterkit maybe? He was even better than a tail, maybe he could play with her! She wiggled her tiny tail, then pounced, tripped, and ended up tumbling to a stop near the younger kit. She laughed and looked up at him. "Sorry." she purred, getting up and licking some dust off her coat. "I meant to land in the puddle."

"Oh... Hello there. Who are you?" Icekit asked staring at the other kit blankly. "What are you doing?"

Otterkit paused in his puddle splashing when he felt a poke in his side, tilting his head and giving his sister a curious look. "Get sick? Haha, good one. That's funny." He continued to bounce around in the water, happily splashing his paw and sending cool drops flying at Icekit. He felt a small cloud of dust tickle his nose, glancing aside at Streamkit. "That's okay," he smiled, "But does this mean it's my turn to get you now?" With a mischievous little smile, he got down low and wiggled his haunches messily, ready to pounce back at her.

"I'm Streamkit!" she mewed happily. These kits seemed pretty nice, and now she had two new friends! She smiled, if it's possible for cats to smile, as Otterkit spoke. "I'd like to see you try!" she purred, jumping a tail length away and crouching down, twitching her tail tip.

Sometimes, you just had to go for a walk. Unfortunately, Heronkit didn't know many places to walk to, since he had never been out of Riverclan camp before. But he was certain that his paws would take him somewhere interesting. Who knew - maybe this time he'd make it all the way towards the pile of yummy looking things that the older cats ate from!

He didn't make it too far though, before he was blocked. Not by anything dangerous - but by a badly timed swishing tail. "Hey!" He squeaked, batting the tail out of his way gently. "No tails - they tickle."

It took him a moment to realize there were more kits out and about than he thought. "Wha's going on?"

Icekit gave an irritated sigh, though she had to smile at Otterkit's behavior. She wrapped her tail around her legs and purred. "Can you two play somewhere less wet?" She whipped her head to the direction of the new voice. "They're playing. Who are you, I'm Icekit."

Otterkit sniffed, shaking his head and sending more drops of water flying everywhere, as well as sticking parts of his fur up in different angles. "You afraid of a little water, Icekit?" He teased, splashing her again before throwing his attention back on Streamkit. A tiny grin grew on his face, "You asked for it!" Clumsily, he leapt out if the puddle, pawa flailing to bat at the she-cat. He'd over-calulated his jumo, though, and sent him and Streamkit flying into Heronkit instead.

She suppressed a small giggle at her brother as he tumbled into Heronkit. "You're so clumsy." She shook off the water and splashed Otterkit with the puddle.

"Oh, sorry!" Streamkit mewed toward Heronkit, "Wanna play with us?" she then mrowed as Otterkit splashed his sister, then tensed her tiny muscles as he jumped at her. She jumped to meet him mid-air, batted his ear with soft paws, then went tumbling with him into the newly-arrived kit, mewling with laughter.

Icekit hopped away from the ball of fluff tumbling her way. "Hehehe... Stop being so silly." She poked the ball of jumbled kits.

Suppressing the urge to sneeze, Heronkit wasn't too worried about his surroundings. In fact, he was more curious than anything to learn what the other kits were up to. This proved to be a bad idea, however; or at least his first and very important lesson in always being aware of what was going on around him, and be less curious and more wary. Perhaps then he could have avoided the tumble of wet paws and fur that came afterwards.

With a squeak of mild terror as he was bowled over, he nonetheless bounced back to his paws a second later. Kits were nothing if not resilient. "I think that means I already am playing." He meowed good naturedly, feeling no worse for wear at the accidental bombardment. "Either way, I gotta get you back now, don't I?" He padded towards them. "That puddle isn't too cold, is it?"

Swirledkit padded out of the nursery, and, seeing a mass of what had to be kits' fur, headed towards a muddy puddle. "Can I play too?" She gave a little hop. "I wanna play!"

Streamkit laughed as she got up. "I guess so, yeah!" she mewed, "Nah, it's pretty warm from being in the sun. But it's not much of a puddle anymore, is it?" she glanced at the water, which was now swirled with mud and much more shallow due to it being spread around. "Anyway, my name is Streamkit! What's yours?" She then looked up as a ginger tabby kit padded up. "WOW! We could start a clan just of kits! Oh, hi! Sure! I bet I can make the biggest splash in the puddle!" she meowed.
