Frostkit, Flamekit, Firekit, Copperkit, and Foxkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Once more on the Highrock, Dewstar yowled loudly to summon her Clan. Today, a queen would finally be released from the responsibility or four kits. Sunface was an energetic cat, and Dewstar figured she would welcome this ceremony. Another kit unrelated to them would also receive his apprentice name.

The ginger queen gently woke her kits, all now quite large, and herded them from the crowded den. Sweet StarClan's grace! She thought, relief painted onto her face.

Flowerfrost poked her head out of the warriors' den. Probably a ceremony. She really hoped that she would get an apprentice; it had been a while since she'd become a warrior.

Addertail padded over to the nursery and poked his head inside. "Are they ready to go?" He asked, looking around for the kittens.

Flamekit looked at her dad with excitement in her olive eyes. "I'm ready!" She exclaimed even though her orange fur still stuck out in places.

Spottedfeather padded into camp upon hearing Dewstars calling. Looking to the nursery, she smiled at Sunface and her son. She wasn't surprised that they had become mates, let along having kits. She was kinda young though to have grandkits though. Well, maybe not that young. She could tell one another liked the other, but she didn't say nor do anything. It was their decision. Smiling at her new kin, which were becoming apprentices, she moved her gaze to the other kit. This one was not related to her, but was also becoming an apprentice. She padded underneath Dewstar and waited for the rest of the kits to emerge.

Flamegaze stifled a cough as he left the Warrior's den, but it was soon forgotten as he realized his brother's kits would be apprenticed. The tom had mostly kept to himself as of late, but he was still glad to see his nieces and nephews getting bigger. I know I have Falconpaw, but maybe I can take another, he thought, taking a seat with a nod and smile to his mother.

Meanwhile, Spottedflight made her way over from the fresh-kill pile, inspecting each of the kits with a smile. I wonder what it's like to have kits, she thought as she took her place. The tabby had never found a mate and probably never would, so she felt just a tiny twinge of regret. But hey, at least she could train her clanmates' kin.

Foxkit smirked and raised his head proudly, orange fur groomed perfectly. "Why wouldn't we?" His tail lashed back and forth excitedly.

Firekit was bouncing around beside her sister. "I'm ready too, Daddy!" She squealed.

Copperkit bounded outside, head held high and very excited. Finally, my ceremony! "Ready, Dad!" he cried.

Addertail purred and examined the group. "Alright, don't mess up your fur." He chuckled, sitting down nearby to watch the ceremony. He watched the others and flicked an ear in amusement. They were all so adorable.

Frostkit scrambled out of the moss. The last thing he wanted was to be late for the ceremony. Yet he also didn't want Dawnfire getting a hold of him and grooming him to death. After today he'd no longer be considered a kit but an apprentice. The thought alone was enough to make him glow with pride.

As he scrambled over to the others he skidded in the dirt and stopped just under the large tom's legs. Even though moss still stuck to him in some places he looked up at Addertail.
"Can we go now please can we go?" Frostkit asked looking up at him. If it weren't for being under Addertail he would probably be bouncing with excitement.

Sunface took one look at Flamekit's mussed pelt and then began furiously grooming her fur, trying to smooth it down quickly and nicely with her rough tongue despite any protests. "You need to look nice for this ceremony!" She said between licks, making a big fuss over her daughter's fur.

Dewstar smiled at the sight and then began. "Frostkit, Flamekit, Firekit, Copperkit, and Foxkit; you have all reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to take on your training. Until you earn your warrior names, you will be called Frostpaw, Flamepaw, Firepaw, Copperpaw, and Foxpaw. Mousetail will mentor Frostpaw, Splotchfur will mentor Flamepaw, Flowerfrost will mentor Firepaw, Rookheart will mentor Copperpaw, and Flamegaze will mentor Foxpaw."

Addertail looked at his two siblings, Rookheart and Flamegaze with a look of relief. He didn't doubt a single one of his clanmates, but he just felt a little more confident that his siblings would train them well. Probably because he knew them better and trusted them a lot.
Looking back to the kits, he purred quietly, chest puffing out in pride. Four mini-warriors to grow up like him and Sunface, and then there was Frostkit of course, who was Dawnfire's kit.

Splotchfur looked up, her deep blue eyes glancing around, to see her new apprentice. 'Wow, Dewstar must trust me to give me an apprentice.' The shy warrior made her way over to the apprentice, giving the cat a small nod before touching noses. "I-I'll do my best, I promise you, Flamepaw." The warrior struggled not studder like she usually did. That would be embarrassing! Right in front of her newest apprentice too.

Rookheart's dipped her head and went over to Copperpaw. "Hello Copperpaw."
