February Gathering 2014

Whitepaw padded through the crowd, searching for the Shadowclan. The smells were overwhelming definitely.

Firepaw followed a Riverclan warrior but soon grew tired of that and sat down, waiting for the announcing.

Stormpaw settled down. His eyelids were heavy since he didn't sleep well the night before.

Cinderfur had silently followed Reedstar into the gathering, her mind buzzing about how the rest of the clans were going to act when they find out that Mapleclaw was actually lying. It's so crazy to think that so much had happened in such a short amount of time, but she was thankful that Reedstar was back. It took her a while for her to finally wrap her head around it, but as she walked in, she almost shied away from the looks she was just waiting to get.

Thrushstripe, who was surprisingly still healthy, followed Nightstar into the gathering. He wasn't really much for talking tonight, especially with his pelt stuck to his sides from the pelting rain. This was an awful gathering, but he couldn't do anything about it. They still had to meet, and they were going to. As he entered the clearing, he glanced around at all of the cats that had made it there. He observed each one with a small sense of agitation. Why did this disease only strike Shadowclan? Or at least, why did it keep only Shadowclan from not having prey? Was Starclan really mad at Shadowclan for some reason? Maybe that was the reason for the rain on this meeting night. They were unhappy... but with whom?

Mousetail really hated this rain. It was bringing down her mood. With a heavy sigh, she walked into the Gathering but didn't say a whole lot. The strange cats were always weird to her, so she usually kept to herself. At least, for now.

Minnowflash entered the clearing with his head held high, despite the rain and the stench of Shadowclan. The silver tom spotted Stormheart sitting next to Silvercloud. He had no one else to talk to so he padded over and smiled with a greeting nod of his head. After he sat down, he asked "What is up with Falconfa- or is it Falconstar now?"

Whitepaw looked at all the cats.
"Wow! So many!" Whitepaw mewed in awe. He sat down next to another warrior.
"Hey there," he greeted.

Firepaw was following Cinderfur easily. Her silky golden fur dripping with water, but still sleek and shiny.

Nightpaw was curled up in some bushes, she most likely hated rain. Her fur just got too sticky.

Stormpaw looked around. He was following Mousetail.

Ravenpaw followed ShadowClan down the slope into the Gathering, her fur bristling in excitement. her eyes were bright and eager as she skidded to a halt, then swung her head around. Spotting a group of apprentice-looking cats, she immediately bounded over.

Lilypaw tentatively started towards the apprentice's, having avoided them since the other Clans started to arrive. "Uh, h-" she started, stopping as Ravenpaw bounded up, cutting her off.
"Hey!"
The new black cat greeted, lifting her chin in pride.

Mistedpaw padded in beside his fellow Clanmates, sighing. He wasn't one for socializing, so he took towards the back of the crowd, near the bushes, ignoring the nearby RiverClan she-cat-- probably an elder.

Cormorantpelt decided she'd stick around Redshade until she felt like moving elsewhere. She shared the same sick look as most of her Clan, even if she wasn't all that sick herself. Maybe whatever disease was clinging to her pelt would rub of on the other clans. Which is why she made sure to brush up against any Clan cat she passed.

Scorchclaw nodded in greeting to Cormorantpelt as she neared giving a small ghost of a smile. "I'm sure Nightstar won't mention our disease..." Scorchclaw meowed.

Thornpaw made sure Mistpaw was behind him all the time, so she didn't get lost as the padded further into the crowd to see Rookpaw and Mistedpaw.

Mistpaw sighed as she followed her bossy brother but smiled in greeting to Rookpaw and Mistedpaw. "Hello." She purred.

Redshade glanced at Scorchclaw and Cormorantpelt, giving them a small, curt nod. "If she did, she wouldn't be as smart as I hoped." He huffed in reply. "Though I have to admit, it was a good idea to try and spread the disease." He looked around at all the cats and how a few other Shadowclan members were purposefully bumping up against cats from the other clans. Clever idea, Nightstar. Clever indeed.

Stormheart shrugged as Minnowflash asked about Falconstar/fang. "We'll probably find out when the gathering starts." She meowed, then frowned slightly. "I hope nothing bad happened to Raccoonstar; Windclan are our allies now, right? That means they're our friends?" The silver tabby looked at her friend, wondering if he'd disagree. Thinking it over, "allies" didn't necessarily mean "friends". It was more like a peace-treaty, and those didn't exactly have to last. Perhaps Raccoonstar simply retired peacefully to the elders' den. Something, however, told her that wasn't the case; mostly the fact that Raccoonstar didn't seem like the one to retire even if being leader killed her.

The fur on Sunface's neck rose. The ShadowClan cats were especially repulsive this night, and she quite plainly moved closer to Addertail to avoid touching any of the slimy fleabags that tried to rub against her. She bared her teeth aggressively at Redshade when she caught his glare and refused to look at anything other than the Great Rock, her tail lashing violently from side to side.

Swiftnose stared with wide eyes at the late Clan. Something wasn't right, but he was having trouble making connections on this particularly atrocious night.

OOC; there are actually some important things to be said, so let's try to finish this one.

Whitepaw greeted Ravenpaw.
"Hey!" Whitepaw said.

Nightpaw stayed huddled under the bush, hoping to avoid being soaked.

Firepaw enjoyed the dampness. Her pelt was drenched anyways.

Stormpaw grumbled and sat down near a group of apprentice.
"Um... hi," he mewed.

OOC: I didn't post? I could have swore that I did...

Reedstar glanced up at Spottedfeather from the base of the Great Rock, his emotions hidden behind a stoic mask. Dewstar gone? That was nice to see. Her deputy seemed less aggressive and more... tractable. If Dewstar was sick or dead, then that meant RiverClan had a few moons of peace. "Is it?" he responded with icy courtesy. We'll see how right you are about that. He clambered onto the Rock and took his seat beside the ThunderClan deputy, fluffing out his fur against the lashing rain. If StarClan was good, they'd blow the other leaders off with a gust of wind. The last thing he wanted to hear in these conditions was the prattling and flaunting of other Clans.

The leader gave a small nod of acknowledgement to Falconfang and Nightstar as they scrambled up as well. Raccoonstar gone too? Better and better. The Clans will be well rid of her if she's dead. Reedstar had no love for her, even if her stupidity had boosted RiverClan's strength and given them leverage over their neighbors. She was paranoid, irrational, greedy, and older than sin. Not unlike ShadowClan, as it happened... Reedstar wrinkled his nose and cast Nightstar a look. Sickness clung to her pelt, and ShadowClan's distinctive scent was even more awful than it usually was. Were you rolling in carrion?

This rain was terrible. This cough was terrible. These cats were terrible. Everything was terrible. ;_;

Mistflower wasn't near as sick as the others who had no choice to stay back at camp, thankfully, she had little trouble walking with the rest of the clan to the gathering - and although her body was warmer, nose running a bit and the cough insisting on shaking her, she was still focused on trying to serve her clan to the best of her ability... Even if that meant ditching her manners for the evening.
"Pardon me." The light tabby meowed as she pushed her way into the middle of the crowd, pretending to be clumsy and brushing past the others. She paused on a few in particular: Ivyfur, Addertail, and Cinderfur, pretending to trip their way and break out into a coughing fit on them. "Sorry, sorry!" The she-cat would mewl in apology before continuing to wander around, looking even a bit lost even, until she finally settled near the apprentices.

"How're you feeling Nightpaw?" She asked her clansmate, licking the smaller tom behind the ear, not exactly expecting an answer. Even aside from their sick stenches and weakness, it was clear to see how thin each of them were - even if they tried to hide it, the rain weighed down their bones and highlighted their frail bodies. She tried not to let her pride derail still.

Addertail growled slightly in annoyance as the smelly she-cat brushed up against him. What was she trying to do, trip over every cat here? He hoped the gathering would start soon so they could get it over with.

Ooc: *Shushes so everyone can get on with it*

Nightpaw sat under the bush silently. Her fur was fluffed up and she had a gleam of frustration glittering in her sparking eyes.

Stormpaw looked around and waited for the leaders to start the gathering.

Firepaw had trouble sitting still. She squirmed in her spot several times and almost let out a yowl of excitment, but she knew that would be embarrassing.

Whitepaw was chatting with himself but finally quit it, he was getting bored.
"Why are they taking so long?" Whitepaw grumbled.
