Assessment Time

OOC: I'm gonna be totally lazy on this.

Cinderpaw continued towards the river, finally finding her way to a place that looked like a decent fishing spot. As soon as she got there, she crawled up towards the river as silently as possible, staring into the water for any kind of movement. Then suddenly... there! She swiped her paw into the water, her claws outstretched, reaching for a fish that had made its appearance. Instantly, her claws made contact with the fish's side, flinging it out onto the river bank. As soon as she was able to get it out, she pounced onto it, killing it quickly with a strong bite before it went limp in her jaws. Yes! Finally! One down, two to go!

Cherrypaw watched the water carefully til a shadow passed then she struck her paw into the water. She missed and growled in irritation then quieted down looking at the water.

Surprisingly enough, Duckpaw hadn't scented a thing on the air. He'd been slowly progressing towards the river, taking his time to get to the cooling water and checking every reed bed and even stopping to check the alder clearing on his way. As he parted his jaws, inhaling the sweet scents of alder leaves as they blossomed in the green-leaf warmth. Underneath the scents of the trees, the welcoming scent of black-bird tickled his nose, bathing his tongue and making his mouth water. Twitching his whiskers the muscly tom crouched, tail-tip flicking as he swiped his tongue over his lips, almost ready to taste the black-bird as he swallowed, sharing with his Clanmates as the sun set in the evening. Drawing his front paws level with his shoulders, he drew himself forward. When he thought he was close enough be bunched the muscles in his hindquarters the leaped, claws outstretched. The black-bird looked at him moments before he landed, screeching an alarm call and frantically shooting into the air, flapping away awkwardly. "Ugh.." he groaned, turning tail and trotting towards the river.

Well, feel free to double post and stuff. I don't see the harm in it, and I'm sure you all just want to get this done.

Making it to the river, Duckpaw crouched and watched dark shapes flit past. He waited, tail twitching, then lashed his paw in the water. He pulled out a trout, and luckily after two more lashes he pulled out a carp and another trout. Grabbing them by the tail, he carried them back to where they'd gathered earlier.

Cherrypaw saw another shadow on the water and shot her paw into the water hoping to catch this fish this time.

Cherrypaw growled and padded into the forest she stopped when she heard a noise she crouched padding forward as she saw a bird she moved closer then pounced.she growled as she missed the bird as it flew away.
