Raccoonheart`s Leader Ceremony and Stormstar`s retirement

Raccoonheart jumped onto her feet once she saw Stormeye sit up. She quickly padded over to the spot next to him, and laid down. She looked at the stone for a moment before pressing her nose against the cold stone. She laid there fro a moment, before falling into the sleep that welcomed her.

Raccoonheart awake in what looked like a glorified windclan territory. The grass stood tall, and was lush. The stars were shining brightly, but nine shone brighter than the others. She had her eyes on the stars when the nine bright ones disappeared. "Greetings Raccoonheart." The familiar voice made her jump. She quickly spun around to see nine cats, some familiar some not, all looking at her with bright faces. In front of that group was Breezefur, her sister. "Are you ready to receive your nine lives?" Her sister asked. Raccoonheart didn't know what to say, she missed her sister so much, and wanted to talk to her but, all she could do was nod.

Raccoonheart felt saddened when her sister stepped back to let the others come forth to bring their lives that they had for Raccoonheart. A thought ran through her mind. Is she not giving me a life? She asked herself but quickly discarded the thought as the first cat started to approach. The first was a silver tabby she-cat whom Raccoonheart didn't know all to well. "Greetings. I am Streamlight. I was given the honor of giving you your first life." Streamlight stepped forward and touched noses with the deputy. "With this life, I give you love. Use this to love your clan no matter what." Raccoonheart felt a warm feeling run through her body as she was given the life. As Streamlight stepped away to join the ranks of the others, she said to Raccoonheart, "Thanks for loving Stormeye."

Another voice brought Raccoonheart's attention away from Streamlight. She looked over to see her former leader, and former mentor. "I'd never thought I'd see you here so soon." The deputy smiled for she was happy to see Longstar again after some time. "It only seems like yesterday that you just became an apprentice." He mewed with a smile.

"It only seems like yesterday you were still alive." Raccoonheart responded.

"Hey now, there is no time for chit chat if you want to get all the way through the ceremony. The leader stood from his spot, and padded up to the gray she-cat. "With this life I give you Leadership. Use this to lead your clan through the toughest times." He stepped away quickly to allow space for the next cat to come with their life to give.

The next cat to appear was an Elder who died when Raccoonheart was a kit. His name was Mouseleap here he looked so young, and full of life again. "With this life, I give you patience. Use this when things seem to be running then." He mewed to her, as he touch her nose to give her the life. Raccoonheart felt like time had slowed down around her, but it quickly returned to normal as the cat stepped away.

The next cat to come up was quite faded. She was still there but anyone could see through her. "Greetings, I was once a deputy like you, but I died before I had the chance to become leader. I gives me joy to bring a life to someone similar to me though." The brown cat stepped forward, and pressed her nose against Raccoonheart's. "With this life, I give you Loyalty. Be loyal to your clan not matter what gets in you way."
Racoonheart felt a fire pass through her as she was given the new life. She wanted to collapsed from the pain, but she decided to stand firm, and not gove way.

Soon the faded cat was replaced by another who was smaller, and seemed like an apprentice. "I was a Medicine Cat Apprentice before I died, so this life I am giving you is special." He mewed in a sweet tone. He had to stretch a little to reach Raccoonheart's nose, but he soon got there. "With this life I give you healing. You this to heal you clan, in time of mistrust or sickness." A scent covered Raccoonheart's nose as she was given the life. The scent smelled like the scent of herbs mixed with blood. The smell made her kinda sick to her stomach because they were overwhelming, but again she stood firm not want to give up.

The next cat to step up was kinda familiar to Raccoonheart, but not enough to trigger any memory of the cat. He was big tom, who was a brown-gray. He had a deep voice when he spoke. "With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to teach your clan." He mewed, as he gave her the new life. Flash-backs of training, and being trained flooded Raccoonhearts mind, but they soon faded.

"Look at you, you were kit, and here you are becoming leader of a clan." Raccoonheart came to find the familiar pelt of her father standing before her. "It's good to see you again..." He paused for a moment. "The welcomes can be saved for later when it is you time to join us." He stepped forward to give his daughter the life he had for her. "With this life, I give you courage. Use this when it comes to any challenge." He mewed before stepping away. Raccoonheart stiffened as pain soared through her body. It felt as if she was receiving many battle scars at once.

The next to appear calmed her a little. It was her mother, Whitesong. "I am so proud of you for making it this far, but you still have a ways to go before you join us." Whitesong mewed with a smile on her face. She took a step forward, and touched noses with her daughter for the first time in a while. "With this life I give you wisdom. Use this to make the right choices, even if they seem wrong. It felt as if Raccoonheart was growing older with each passing second, and learning something new, but the effect faded as she watched her mom leave with sadness.

The final cat to appear was Breezefur. "I was given the honor to give you your last life. I  take pride in giving you this well.. because you are my sister.. She sighed, and paused for a moment, before looking back up at Raccoonheart. "I know I should have listened to you, but I was to stubborn.. "

Raccoonheart looked at her for a moment. "Don't worry about it.. It's in the past now it can't be changed. Also that stubbornness seems to run in the family." she laughed as she got the last part out.

Breezefur looked back up to her sister. "Well here is your last life, I hope you don't get to it to soon. The black she-cat stepped forward, and touched noses with her sister. "With this life I give you compassion, To think about your clan, and others in time of need."
As Raccoonheart gained this life she felt a deep sadness within her. She couldn't exactly pinpoint what was causing it, but it soon faded as he sister stepped back.

"From this moment on you are now known as Raccoonstar. Use your lives wisely, and remember Starclan is always with you.." He sisters voice started to fade as the air was filled with chants of Raccoonstar's new name. The voices soon faded as the leader awoke on the cold ground. She slowly sat up, and looked at Stormstar, and nodded. She stood from her spot, and headed for the exit.

Stormeye grinned softly as he sat from his spot and followed her back toward the tunnel. "Congrats, Raccoonstar."
