Raccoonheart`s Leader Ceremony and Stormstar`s retirement

Raccoonheart stood at the entrance the Windclan camp. The day was sunny, and bright, but by the time she got to her destination it would be Moon rise. She glanced back to her camp to take one last look as the deputy of this wonderful clan. For once she returns this camp would truly be hers, and she would have the burden of taking care of it, but it would be worth it. Finally she sat down and waited for her mate and her friend who she asked to come.

Padding for the last time from the leader's den was Stormstar, his eyes almost once again their fully brightness. He made his way toward his mate, his ears flickering as he gave his Clan one last look. When he returned, he wouldn't be Stormstar anymore. "Are we all set?" he meowed as he reached his mate. Truthfully, he was still a little unsure about this whole thing but he knew that he had made his choice, and that Raccoonheart would do great as leader.

Occ: Yay! You are finally gonna get your Raccoonstar!

Falconfang padded over to the deputy - or the soon-to-be former deputy - and his leader - or the soon-to-be former leader - and gave them both a tight smile. It was time for Raccoonheart to go and get her nine lives, and she had asked him to come with her. The reason wasn't known to him, but perhaps she just needed a guard from the other clans in case they were hostile. He was happy to go, but still felt a bit betrayed by Stormstar's decision to step down from his leadership post, so he addressed his words to Raccoonheart. "Alright, I'm ready," he mewed to her, washing a forepaw and draping it across his ear.

Raccoonheart looked at her mate then turned to Falconfang, and nodded. She was still saddened by the events that occurred a while ago, but soon she couldn't be concerned with that anymore. She would have a clan to lead. She rose from her paws, and looked out of the camp onto the territory. "We need to hurry if we want to rest before, we have to go into mother mouth.." She mewed then turned to the two, "Lets go." She mewed before facing away from the two, and stepping out of her camp for the last time as deputy.

Stormstar nodded, not meeting eyes with Falconfang as he got to his paws and hurried after his mate; his gaze dropping to his paws. He felt horrible about his choice, but soon his Clan's disappointment in him would disappear, right? Like the leaves in the wind, it would finally blow away out of sight. His heart sank sightly. At least he hopped that this whole thing would blow over.

Falconfang nodded and followed after Raccoonheart, deliberately avoiding looking at Stormstar as they made their way to Mothermouth. The walk there was uncomfortable, and wasn't made much better by the silence that permeated the group.

Ooc: Time skip made an appearance.

Ic: Raccoonheart sat on the hard ground in front of mother mouth gazing upon the rising moon. She looked over to the two that had traveled with her and said, "It's almost to go." She stood from her spot, band gave a stretch. She turned towards Stormstar and studied him for a moment. " Are you ready?" She asked her mate.

Stormstar glanced at Raccoonheart, nodding slowly as he gazed at the moon as it slowly made it way up. "As ready as I'll ever be."

Falconfang sat down next to them, prepared to watch them go inside. He wouldn't be following, however: that was for them only. "I'll be here waiting for you two," he mewed, giving Raccoonheart a soft smile. "You'll be a great leader, Raccoonheart." He gave the two of them a curt nod, prepared to wait for awhile.

Raccoonheart nodded to Stormstar then turned to Falconfang with a small smile. "Thanks.." She mewed before turning to the tunnel, and pushing her way inside the darkness ahead of them. There was no turning back now. She couldn't see anything but kept going straight forward letting her whiskers guide her away from the walls, and soon to the bright stone that waited for them.

Stormstar followed after his mate, the darkness of the tunnel not effecting him like it once did. He just sighed at the fact as he moved deeper and deeper into the ground.

Raccoonheart soon reached the end of the tunnel, knowing this by a bright light that filled the cave. She soon stepped through the end of the tunnel into the cave seeing the bright moonstone for the first time. She quickly moved off to the side so Stormstar could get through, and tell her what to do.

Stormstar stepped into the open cavern and quickly shielded his good eye with one of his paws until he was able to see right again. He paused as he gazed at the great stone before clearing his throat. "Alright; we are here..." Swallowing, he slowly started to explain. "How you visit StarClan here is simple. You just touch your nose to the Moonstone and you should be asleep in seconds where StarClan will visit you." The leader took a step forward, narrowing his eyes against the searing light of the stone. "I should go first. They have to take away all but one of my lives so that you can get yours after all."

Raccoonheart looked at her leader for a second before nodding, and laying down a ways away from the stone. She wanted to rest while she could, before she visited Starclan. Not to mention she was very hungry, and didn't want to use up anymore energy than she had to.

Stormstar gave Raccoonheart one long glance before he turned to the Moonstone and laid down; pressing his nose against the smooth, cold surface as sleep suddenly overcame him and darkness greeted him.

Starlight twinkled around Stormstar as he opened his eyes; finding stars dancing around him as he sat in the Fourtrees. His pelt prickled as a silver she-cat stepped from the shadows, her sapphire blue eyes bright as she stopped infront of him. "Stormstar."

"Streamlight." The leader had an easy time knowing who the she-cat was by the dark silver markings that faintly ran over her body. "I'm guessing you are here to take away my lives?"

The she-cat just nodded as she gently touched noses with the leader, purring. "Of course. You had a good run as leader, but I'm afraid that everything must come to an end; doesn't it? Don't worry...this won't hurt a bit."

That was the biggest understatement that Stormstar had ever heard. He felt like...like...he wasn't even sure how to begin to word it but it hurt. A lot. After all that, he found himself panting on the ground, his yellow gaze hard as he glared at Streamlight. "I thought...you said...it wouldn't hurt..."

Streamlight just grinned as she flickered her tail with a laugh. "I'm afraid I'm dead. I don't know what pain is anymore."

"Why you..."

"Goodbye Stormeye! May you have a good life as an elder!"

As Streamlight started to disappear, Stormeye frowned. He had lost his name, he was now an elder...which meant... His eyes opened as he found himself awake against the Moonstone. He sat up. It was time for Raccoonheart to become leader.
