Icestream by the camp

Icestream Returned to camp, wanting to retire to his nest but his needed to go talk to people before his was compellingly forgetting to eat for that whole time.His ribs started to poke out. He growled, looking for someone to share a meal with.

Embershade padded into the camp, hungry. She started towards the fresh-kill pile and picked up a squirrel. She sat down, staring at her squirrel, forgetting completely that it was there. She was stuck in thought.

Icestream flickered his ears at the sound of Footsteps. "Hello." He greeted. "May I join you?" He asked.

"Sure." Embershade pushed the squirrel towards him. "I don't think I'm hungry." She meowed, putting a little lie into it.

He laid back his ears. "I know I may seem scary. I'm sorry." He said, pushing it back to her. "I'll eat alone." He said, padding slowly away with his head low.

"No. It's not that. I'm just thinking." She meowed, padding after him. "You're lonely, I can tell. You can share with me." She shrugged, sitting back down.

Icestream's eyes lit up. "Really?!" He asked. Settling down him self.

"Sure." Embershade shrugged. She took a bite of the squirrel and swallowed her bite. "So, what's on your mind?" She asked.

Icestream thought for a moment. "Time. Time is always on my mind. I can't help but this, this time is going to fast for me to handle." He said, taking a bite. he looked up at the sky and he said it was blurry with grey clouds.

"I always think about time, too. I also wonder what it's like beyond the territories." Embershade took another bite. She looked up at the sky as well. "Do you miss your camp? Do you miss your territory?" She asked. "I wonder what it's like to lose your home." She murmured.

Icestream nodded a 'no' "That place no one cared about me. I feel safer here." He said, looking into the she-cats eyes. "You have pretty eyes did you know," He said, smiling.

IC: "Oh. I thought you would feel safer at your own camp." She stopped, growing quiet. Embershade smiled at the nice compliment. "Thanks. You think everyone wants to stay away from you, but you're really nice."

Icestream shrugged. "Coldness makes my happiest." He smiled, thoughtfully. "As you can see I'm not normal." He said.

Embershade tilted her head, confused. "No one's normal. You're yourself, and I'm myself. I don't think normal means something good. If I was normal, that would mean I'm just a same-old cat. But I'm not. You're not. Normal sometimes means boring." She cracked a smile at the last sentence. She took another bite of the squirrel and pushed it towards him. "I'm done. I don't know about you, though." She meowed.

Icestream looked at his rips and gulped down the food. "You know I wish cat were like you, caring loving-" He stopped letting his feelings over run him. "I'm sorry, I've just never had someone be so nice like you."
