Amalric and Shadowclan [P5]

Gingerheart had heard the hustle and bustle and shouts from the camp. As she laid in her nest in the warrior's den, the strong scent of blood had washed over her. Great Starclan, that was a lot of blood for it to catch up to her so quickly. With a heavy gasp and a worried expression about it possibly coming from one of her clan mates, she jumped out of her nest, not even bothering with her paw anymore. She could do with walking on it. It was slowly getting better-- enough that she didn't have to limp on it anymore.. except she couldn't run very long without feeling a little bit of discomfort.

"What's going on?! Who's hurt?" She cried as she darted into the clearing before spotting drops of blood trailing towards the medicine cat's den. Instantly, she made her way over, becoming even more worried when she saw the group of cats that had already formed at the mouth of the den. "Who is hurt?" She repeated, craning her neck to see over Nightwing, Sagestar and Cedarfur. It was only until she saw the unfamiliar cat was she actually worried. As soon as she realized it was no one she knew, her hackles raised and she let out a hiss as if the clan were getting invaded. Another cat from outside the clans?! It was bad enough that Windclan scum was here! They didn't need another outsider filling up their dens! Although, the cat did seem quite injured and even a little delirious, but that still didn't change her feelings about him. Even though he was hurt, he was still dangerous, and she wasn't going to let anything happen to this clan.

"Who is that and why is he here?" She demanded as if she were in charge, basically talking to anyone who was listening to her. She didn't want to take chances with anyone outside of her own clan, especially if this stranger was a rouge. They were supposed to get rid of rouges, not help them. Softwhisper was beginning to get on her nerves, but she dared not say that to him.

Silverkit peeked out from behind the legs of the older cats. She knew she shouldn't be out there, but her curiosity got the best of her. At the sight of all the blood, Silverkit squeaked, most likely giving away her hiding place.

Nightwing's ears twitched and she turned to the kit. "Silverkit, what are you doing here?" Her fur was still raised as she glanced at the kitten. Nightwing made ehr way through the crowed den to the kit. "Come on I promise I will tell you later but for now, you need to get to the nursery." Nightwing gave Silverkit a lick on the head.

Silverkit pouted. "But I want to see the weird cat!" She protested. "He smells weird and fell asleep in the middle of the camp!"

Nightwing shook her head, and picked up the kit. "You need a nap" She told her softly. She ran out of the den to the nursery, ignoring any of the kit's protests. She dropped eh lightly on the moss. Nightwing walked back out and back to the others. Her focus directed to the rouge. "Lets start small paw steps." She took a breath. "What is your name? And where are you from?"

Amalric ignored the questions. It was too hard to speak. Flashes of the events that had happened earlier replayed in his head. "Who are you?" he murmured, half conscious. "Don't let me die...."

Sagestar had jumped out of surprise just as much as his deputy, still expecting the stranger to be knocked out cold while the medicine cats worked on him. Not a few momenys later, he noticed Gingerheart pusj her way through the crowd, mildly surprised at how commando she was at the moment, but now was hatdly the time to think about that. "We're not sure. He stumbled into camp halfway to StarClan and just passed out." He explained to the eldest warrior in a low tone under his breath.

The gray tabby flicked his ears, slitting his emerald eyes. Now, a cat on the edge of death and on their mercy was hardly in the position to be asking questions, was he? If it weren't for the weak, desperate plea and the scent of fear - Well, he probably would have been a lot more forceful and less patient at the moment. "Softwhisper and Mallowpaw will heal you." He replied, though he hid the bit of regret in his voice. Less for ShadowClan. "You're safe... For now..."

His gaze wandered to his warriors for a few moments, wondering what was running through their thoughts at the moment. He looked back at the rouge. "Who is Johanna?" He pressed the questions again. "Who are you, and how did you find us?"

Amalric didn't answer, staring forward. He tried not to succumb to the darkness of unconsciousness, but it was hard to control. He let out a groan in reply, laying his head down on the ground.

"I can't heal him if you're all crowding around me," Softwhisper said irritably. The cat couldn't deal with stress right now, and his brother was seriously getting on his nerves. This was not the time for questions. "By StarClan, get out." He snapped, mouth full of cobwebs.

By midnight, Cedarfur had returned to outside the medicine cat den. It had been a few hours since people were cleared from the area. "H-hey, Softwhisper. Everything okay in there?" meowed the cat, wincing to prepare for the shouting he'd get from interrupting the hard at work medicine cat. He didn't even know if the stranger was still alive, but he was curious of his story and what happened. It was not often that something this big happened in Shadowclan, and he wanted to keep updated, even if it meant being a nosy furball.

That shouting was reserved for the likes of Sagestar and Gingerheart, who he was still mad at for disagreeing about Falconfang. Softwhisper extended a sad, tired look as he regarded Cedarfur. He didn't feel like talking, but he was nothing if not a polite conversationalist. "He . . . " Softwhisper began, before stopping abruptly. He didn't quite know if this cat would be alright yet. His wounds were severe, but he seemed to be breathing steadily. "Will get better. You mustn't worry about it, Cedarfur," Softwhisper assured, mewing. The Warrior was a nosy furball but Softwhisper couldn't help but smile.

"Alright..." answered the tom softly. Sighing slightly, he went off to do something more productive, like flirt with Gingerheart. After all, she had to be somewhere. Meanwhile, Amalric just slept , his breathing rather irregular. Nevertheless, respiration still meant life, so that was a good sign.

"And how long until he can start talking again?"
The gray tabby gave Cedarfur a small nod before pushing past him, walking into the den and catching his brother's gaze. He flicked his ear, looking away and at the sleeping stranger for a few moments, then let out a deep sigh. "This happened so unexpectedly. The scent of blood is still fresh in the camp." He muttered, wondering aloud. "We need to know everything about him as soon as possible... We should get him out. He might be a danger to the clan..." His voice came a low growl. There was something indeed awfully strange about this. He could never see SkyClan leaving a cat like this - or kill someone, or at least that was what this stranger professed to in his deranged state.

Softwhisper was taken aback at his brother's words. No, he was not about to barge in here and bother this cat, who was barely breathing. He flicked his tail, saying, "No, Sagestar." It was rather bold to address his leader in that way. It was ridiculous. Sagestar may have been the leader, but he couldn't just . . . what, Softwhisper? Order cats around? That's his job, mouse-brain. Softwhisper sighed, relenting. This was his brother and his leader. As stupid as he was, Softwhisper knew it was unwise to challenge him.

"He's not in any shape to be much of a danger to anyone," Softwhisper mewed quietly. Sagestar may have been the leader, but he was required to at least consider the advice of his medicine cat. "I suggest we keep him here until he's back on his paws."

Suddenly, a cough came from the otherwise limp cat. He breathed in with a wheeze, suddenly taking in more oxygen than he was before. It startled him, as he awoke so quickly. He shot up, the cat looking around the den, and seeing two cats conversing. Who were they? He did not remember much.
"Hey..." he said, panting as to regulate his respiration and other big words that I can use here.
