Time to get this month's life out of the way ><;;

Shadowstar had been lying in her den for quite some time now. She had only come out when she was needed, such as when Greyfeather had been having certain issues, only because she knew she was getting sick and she didn't want to spread the disease around. Coughing hard, she stood up weakly knowing that she had to see Tawnyfur and Dawnlight because this sickness wasn't going away. After finally calming down, she took a slow and difficult trip out of her den and across the camp to the medicine cats' den. "Tawnyfur?" She called in, hoping someone was in here. "Dawnlight?"

Dawnlight looked up from her work, "What is it Shadowstar?" She asked. Her paws staying on the herbs a a breeze went through. "After I get done with you I need to tell Sagepaw or Greypaw to fix the hole in my den." She mewed

"Dawnlight, thank Starclan," She rasped. "I'll get right on it... later," She told the medicine cat as she lay down in the den with a loud cough. "I'm not feeling great. Do you having anything I could take for this?"

"That cough of your's sounds terrible. I might have some, but I would have to go out and pick some more." She mewed She went to the back of the den and reached her paw in a crack. Once she brought it out she placed it in front of Shadowstar. "This is catmint. It should help in case you have whitecough, or Greencough."

As soon as the herbs were placed in front of her, Shadowstar licked them up and chewed on them slowly. After consuming it, she tried to stand up again. Her paws felt weak, but she managed to stand. "Is there anything else I need to take, or can I go back to my den?" She asked, not looking good at all. The disease was taking its toll and it was rather obvious.

"Go to your den now. You need the rest I will help by giving the apprentices duties around camp." She mewed as she nudge Shadowstar out of her den.

Nodding to the medicine cat, Shadowstar turned to leave the den when suddenly her legs gave out from under her. Landing right in the dirt, she was now lying on her side, her breathing shallow and ragged. Everything was slowly twisting and turning like she had never seen before as her vision faded in an out.

"Yes,what is it Shadowstar?" Tawnyfur mewed padding into the den. Her fur suddenly stood on end and her eyes widened in panic. "Dawnlight! Get herbs for Shadowstar!" She yowled, droping to her leaders side.

The sick leader stared up to see Tawnyfur. "Tawny... fur..." She breathed, growing weaker and weaker until finally her eyes closed, her head fell back into the dirt and her breathing slowed until she took one last breath and was gone.

Second life taken...

Dawnlight rushed out of the den with herbs but when she got there it was too late... "She is losing two lives?" She asked seeing her leader dead on the ground, she was sad but she knew she would be back. She could only dread the time when it came for her to lose her last life.

"Well, Our leader has lost a life before, and now this is her second one lost" She said, laying down beside her leader. "Leave the herbs here, though. She will need them when she wakes"

It was only a matter of a few minutes before the weary leader stirred from her death. As her eyes fluttered open, she took in a deep breath and glanced at the two medicine cats before the scent of the herbs lying in front of her caught her nose. Without saying a word, she quickly consumed them before trying to stand once more. "I apologize that you had to see that," She meowed to them tiredly.

"Its okay. At least leaders have more than one life! Now, just eat your herbs and rest for a day" Tawnyfur mewed, getting back onto her paws.
