Le Willowpaw's Training

"Chew them into a poultice first." Ebonyroot answered her, "Do you think you can remember and recite all that I've showed you today?" she questioned the apprentice.

The apprentice froze, then slowly sat down. Furrowing her brow, Willowpaw started, "Cobwebs stop bleeding, poppy seeds ease pain, borage helps queens, goldenrods are used to put under the cobwebs, horsetail and marigold work as replacements, to fight off infections, juniper berries ease coughs and belly aches, and catmint is used for greencough." The young she-cat stopped, taking a deep breath. Once she had caught it, she mewed, "Did I get them all?"

"It's a very certain start." Ebonyroot meowed and touched noses with Willowpaw. "Now gather the herbs I've showed you. We shall do more work over time." she stepped back and disappeared.

Willowpaw watched Ebonyroot vanish, then turned back to the plants. She sighed, but smiled to herself, glad she could help now in a little way.
