Le Willowpaw's Training

"Willowpaw. Wake up." The words would chime in the young, sleeping cat's ear.

Still drowsy, the medicine cat apprentice of Windclan slowly blinked open her eyes. As far as she could tell, there was nobody else there, and that meant she could go back to sleep. She lay her head on her paws, and drifted back into dream land.

"I said, it's time to wake up." the voice repeated, a little more sternly this time. A paw prodded her shoulder.

This time, Willowpaw started, nearly leaping to her feet. Her green eyes were wide for a split second before she relaxed. They still reflected how alert she was as she stretched and got to her paws.
"Hello?" she mewed, not sure who had woken her.

"Ah, good. I've been here for a bit. You're kinda a deep sleeper." the voice purred. If young Willowpaw took the time to focus for a few seconds, she would find a calico she-cat sitting not but a few rabbit-hops away from her.

Willowpaw's muscles tightened when she heard the voice, and she gazed around, her eyes wide as she tried finding who was speaking. In her third sweep of the den, she caught something; a wisp of color. She zoned in on it, focusing, and a cat came into view. The apprentice leapt back, shock filling her eyes.
"Wh-who are you?!" she asked.

The she-cat had to hold back a small mrrow of laughter. "Hello there, Willowpaw. I'm a StarClan cat. I've come to assist you in your training."

Willowpaw relaxed, realizing there was no threat. She quickly smoothed out her fur with her tongue, then brought her attention back to the cat from Starclan.
"I'm glad you're here," she admitted, curling her tail over her paws. "My mentor seems to have left and gone back to where she originally came from."

The calico blinked in understanding. "She was never truely a clan-cat at heart, though she still cares for you all." She flicked her tail, supposing she should atleast offer her name for the time being. "I am Ebonyroot, a former medicine cat of ShadowClan... and, I suggest you eat something before we head out."

"Oh, eat something," Willowpaw repeated, getting to her paws. "Probably smart." The apprentice padded quickly from her den, approaching the fresh-kill pile. She dug through until she found what she wanted: a small field mouse. In a rush, she ate it, then went back to the entrance to her den. "I'm ready now," she mewed.

"Alright, let's go." Ebonyroot started to make a hazey walk for the entrance. "And be careful with what you say. You're the only one who can see me~."

Willowpaw heard this and realized what Ebonyroot was saying. She kept her mouth shut, hoping nobody was out where they were going.

"Tell me what you know so far." Ebonyroot meowed when they were a bit ways out of camp.

"All I know so far are the purposes of cobwebs, poppy seeds, and I believe it was borage," replied the apprentice.

"I see..." Ebonyroot sighed, walking against the plains thoughtfully, trying to remember where every herb was. She hadn't stepped foot on WindClan land every since she had spent her last days with Icewhisker... Talking with Featherstar with four kits.
She flicked a tail and picked up the pace, taking Willowpaw near Fourtrees. "Oh, here's a good plant for you to know." she padded up to a long, thin plant with clusters of little flowers at the end.
