A New Kit in Camp

"Scarletfire.. That is a cool name to have!" Dawnkit sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws. "What do you do as a warrior?"

"Yes, I'm all Scarletfire's!" chuckled Goldflame, nuzzling her fondly before turning his attention to Dawnkit. He smiled at her. "Maybe when she's a little less busy, she might be a bit too busy right now, but you could have a peek inside to see if she is busy." Goldflame tried to change the subject, giving Scraletfire a quick but warning stare before smiling t the kit again. "Shadowsong, can I go on a hunting patroll later on? My paws are aching for a good hunt!"

Flattery will get you nowhere, she thought, snorting. Scarletfire watched her. Looking at Goldflame, knowing in an instant that he changed the subject, she answered her question anyways, " I'd say we're the most important thing in a Clan. Pssh. Aside from leader. We care for the kits, as do the queens, hunt for the Clan, and mark our borders daily. We also go to Gatherings a lot, unlike kits, and we fight in battles," the black she-cat said. "What else is on your mind? Hopefully something worth answering. Though, let me ask YOU a question. Where... where do you come from? I'm curious to know."

Goldflame was intregued by Scarletfire's question. He sat and waited for the kits answer.

ooc: Her parents are made up Shadowclan warriors.. but they disappeared! :D

"Uh.. My mom is in the nursery." She turned to show where her mom was but she wasn't there. "She isn't there.." She mewed with a bit of sadness in her voice.

"Well, maybe she wanted to nip out for a quick hunt," Goldflame smiled at the kit, hoping he didn't show the worry on his face that Dawnkit's mother might be missing.

Scarletfire didn't seem amused. "So you're an orphan?" she wondered, her voice piercing the eerie silence like a knife.

"I don't know...." Dawnkit mewed. "She was there a while ago." She shifted some dirt with the tip of her paw seeming like she was in trouble.

"Do you know her name?" she asked.

"Uhh... (Made-up name here)" She replied, her eyes becoming dull.

Shadowsong sat there quietly to listen to the conversation and monitor Scarletfire at the same time. She had changed in her personality some since she became a warrior, and obviously Goldflame was interested in this new subject so she didn't bother to answer his question.

ic: Scarletfire stared at her blankly. "I've not heard of (name o3o). She does not reside here. You're mother's probably abandoned you, have you thought of that?"

Dawnkit looked up a Scarletfire, eyes wide with shock. "What am I goning to do? I don't remember anything. All I remember is being here and she was in there.."

Scarletfire watched her uneasily. "You... interest me," she said suddenly, getting up to approach them closer. "Your parents are probably in StarClan or soemthing. Probably not. I'm not sure. But I guess they're watching you... or something.." She was trying to be nice, but it was difficult for a cat like her. Scarletfire looked at Goldflame. For once, her eyes glimmered with something new. Looking back down at the kit, she asked, "what is your opinion of me? Just wondering."

Goldflame looked quite shocked. Scarletfire wasn't the sort of she-cat that cared what most cats thought about her.
