A New Kit in Camp

Dawnkit sat at the edge of the nursery looking around the camp. She didn't know what to do, as a result of that she was bored. She looked at a leaf that floated by in the wind until it was pushed to the ground by a pair of paws. She growled at the leaf and clawed at it until she got bored. She let out a sigh.

Shadowsong had been lying out in the clearing of the camp when she noticed the newest kit was sitting by herself. With a soft sigh, she stood up and shook out her pelt before padded up to Dawnkit. "Why hello there," She purred.

Dawnkit turned around with a jump. She looked up at the Shadowclan deputy with surprise then calmed down. "Hello, I'm Dawnkit!" She squeaked out the last part.

Scarletfire's ear careened, listening in. She needed to know more about the newest member of ShadowClan. Stalking over, her pair of violet eyes shimmered from the entrance. She lay silent as she watched.

Shadowsong laid down on the ground in front of the kit, not noticing Scarletfire for the time being. She looked down at Dawnkit with a bright expression. "Hello Dawnkit! I'm Shadowsong, the Deputy of Shadowclan."

"Your deputy? Cool!" Dawnkit looked around and the medicine cat den caught her eye. She looked at the den and the aroma of herbs brushed by her nose. "Whose den is that?" She asked

She turned to the direction that Dawnkit was facing. "Oh, that is the medicine cat's den. Tawnyfur, our medicine cat, helps take care of sick and injured cats in there."

"That sounds amazing! Can I meet Twanyfur?" Dawnkit asked tilting her a head a bit.

"She's much too busy to introduce herself at the moment," interrupted Scarletfire. Her violet eyes held no emotion. She just stared blankly. "She helps cats. That's all."

Goldflame appeared out of Tawnyfur's den a heartbeat later, a smile on his face. Tawnyfur had been busy so he brought her some fresh-kill and said hello. She'd taken care of him when he was a kit so he was more than happy to talk with her. "Hello," he smiled at everyone, giving Scarletfire's ear a affectionate lick. "How are you all?"

Shadowsong turned her attention to Scarletfire then to Goldflame. "Greetings, you two. This is Dawnkit, Shadowclan's newest member," She purred.

Dawnkit looked at Scarletfire, "But helping cats sounds cool!" She mewed/ squeaked with her tail held high. "Who are you anyway?" She asked both Goldflame and Scarletfire

"Just warriors. Plus, we're also mates, so he's mine, sorry~" she said half-jokingly. Scarletfire stared at her. "But who are you? I want to know more about you, kit."

"Well, I'm Dawnkit!" Dawnkit said, being a new kit she didn't really know much.

Scarletfire rolled her eyes. "And so I've heard... Whatever. Anyhow, I didn't tell you my name. I'm Scarletfire. Don't forget the name; I won't be repeating it," she informed, narrowing her eyes.
