"You're my friend!" Goldkit mewed, his voice going sad not angry, "It matters if you die."

Scarletkit shrugged. "Well, it looks like i'm not dead. What are we going to do now? Is ThunderClan gonna get mad at us?"

"Now if we can get back to camp! Race you!" Goldkit mewed, running away towards camp, becoming a gold flash.

Darkkit followed Goldkit back to camp. He wondered how other cats would react to the fact that three kits had snuck out of camp

Scarletkit was already at his heels. She stepped on his tail and gave a snicker. "Meet you in the Nursery, slowpoke!" she teased.

Goldkit was surprised. He raced forwards, keeping his pace a bit faster than Scarletkit. He knocked into her side, then raced forwards, into camp. He kept the pace, skidding to a halt in the nursery.

Darkkit wasn't in as much of a hurry as the other two, and stayed behind them as the raced back to the nursery. He still didn't feel fully at home in the camp, but being in the forest reminded him of his parents

Scarletkit gave a gasp and tackled him. "You cheater!" she laughed.

Darkkit stopped in the forest and took a quick look around. He felt like he should be looking for his parents, but he figured that if they had lost him, then they would have came back for him by now. He coninued walking back to the camp

"Hurry up, Darkkit!" she meowed.

Darkkit rushed over to Scarletkit "Sorry" he said "I got distracted"

"You silly! What're you thinking about?" she asked, nudging him gently.

"My parents" Darkkit said. He figured that Scarletkit already knew about how he was a rouge kit when he was born.

Scarletkit settled down. "Oh! Do you know what they were like?"

"Well, I did live with them for awhile" Darkkit said "But they were really mysterious. Then one day I woke up and they weren't there". He still had no idea why they had abandoned him
