The REAL Dark Forest cats

A single white soul was the only illumination, other than the moon, but that was dim in this death-painted place. The soul was bright but it was not clean, no, it was filthy. To it clung the awful guilt of murder and hate; but this cat enjoyed the sensation and relished it.
He came to a clearing and halted.
His mind focused on a flame, a young flame. He was attempting to summon his daughter for the first time. Her first lesson. Real lesson.
Not the petty forest cat lessons, where you taught cats about borders, and fighting. No, no.
This was where she would learn to kill.

Firepaw lurched into the clearing, stumbling a little at the sight of her father. "Am I in the Dark Forest?" she asked him, happiness alighting in her eyes at seeing him, and hatred for Icepaw, who she thought watched their father die, without doing a single thing to help him.

Fallensoul smiled, a hint of his long fangs sticking though his lips. "You indeed are, Firepaw." He stood and hopped onto a boulder. It glowed dimly in the pale light of the icy moon. Without looking down on her, he said: "Can you guess why you are here? Don't worry, though, you haven't died."

Firepaw`s eyes burned brighter with hatred for Icepaw when she asked, "Am I here to learn some more battle moves from you?"
