School Is In Session (CLAN MEETING)

Sageroot couldn’t help the bounce of her step as she ascended the Highrock. Acornstar had liked her idea and today was the big day!
“May all cats safe from the bramble’s thorn gather for a clan meeting!” she called out, unable to hide her exuberance.

Acornstar had quite liked Sageroot's idea, praising her deputy for it and together had worked out the finer details. Of course, with it being of Sageroot's design, she had chosen not to make the announcement of it for herself but had allowed her deputy to call a Clan meeting. A bit of a reversal of roles, but it suited her just fine as she sat to the side of the Highrock, a gentle smile on her face.

It was a relief with how well Sageroot had taken to being deputy and the ease it brought upon her. The apprentices and her Clan were in good paws and she was excited to see how this new announcement and turn of events would go on to shape the future of their Clan.

It was odd to hear Sageroot call out, especially when Silverdusk knew there were no kits due for an apprentice ceremony at present. Green eyes shifted from deputy to leader, a perplexed almost worried look upon her face. Though as her gaze settled on the russet leader, hovering beneath the Tall Rock and her visible excitement, the tall molly heaved a sigh of relief. It would not be bad news!... So then what was this meeting about?

Lionpaw followed close at his mentors side, mind alight with what news Sageroot would be sharing. He dreamed of battle... a rematch with RiverClan, Sunningrocks returned. He felt hungry for some opportunity to impress and best a real opponent. He hoped his day would soon come. He would hate to become a warrior without having seen war. It was a softness he couldn't bear. He wanted to get his paws dirty (dirtier than they already are, still caked with dirt and grime from his most recent training experience).

Silverdusk seemed pleased, which took the gust out of Lionpaw's sails instantly. It couldn't be anything too exciting, then. But his deputy and leader both seemed in good spirits, and that, at least, he could be thankful for.

Sleepycloud had already been in the camp when the call was made. However, instead of waiting where she was, the warrior trotted towards the apprentice's den and woke her daughter from her sleep. Sure, Hopepaw couldn't hear, but that didn't mean she didn't deserve to participate, even if she had no idea what was happening.

The small white apprentice shot awake with a trill. Oh! Mother! She closed her eyes and purred. Were they going to share some food? Something nice like that, perhaps? Instead, Mother nudged her from the warm nest and out into the camp where other cats gathered. The apprentice deflated slightly. Was it another one of the tests of patience where she had to sit as still as possible and stare ahead? Well. At least she was going to be the most patient cat there. Or...at least try.

“Thank you all for coming,” she began. “I’m thrilled to announce a new program for ThunderClan’s apprentices! I have seen that we all can learn something from each other, so I’d like to encourage each apprentice to do at least one of four things: spend time with a warrior who is not your mentor, help Fawnshine in the medicine den, play with the kits in the nursery, or spend time with Blazefang and any future elders. Not to do chores or anything, just to spend time together. I want ThunderClan to truly be a family. If you want to do all of these things, go for it! If only one or two appeal to you, that’s fine as well. If you would like help planning, you can ask me or your mentor. Mentors, feel free to come to me with questions as well. Lastly, these activities are not required to become a warrior, but I hope you all participate.”
