Explain your Plot:
Weepingwillow is a middle-aged queen with severe gum disease brought on by a complication with her teeth. She gave up her position as a warrior, and dreams of one day achieving leadership, when her teeth started breaking. Instead, she finds purpose in the nursery. She depends on poppy seeds (and other herbs, such as alder bark) to help relieve her chronic tooth pain.

Littlesplash is a medicine cat helping her manage these issues. Yet, he is not all-knowing - never having an official mentor during his medicine cat assistant training.

She is currently heavily pregnant and is still taking these herbs to help with pain management. For reference, poppy seeds poison a queen's milk supply. As a result, it is not recommended for nursing queens and will make her kits sick.

When the kits are born, they will slowly fall ill - but the true reason is unknown. They will have a variety in symptoms - some being more severe than others - because Weepingwillow's kits nurse on the other queens in the nursery. Kits that depend entirely on Weepingwillow will most likely die or become extremely ill. Long-term effects could be present. Majority should recover and live happy, healthy lives. It will be on the individual roleplayer for the kits if any long-term effects occur or they die.

How will this impact the characters/clans involved?:

• Kits will become ill - and may die as a result of the poisoning
  
• Kits that survive may experience long-term effects, such as a damaged immune system
  
• Littlesplash will have an unfortunate lesson for future queens
  
• Weepingwillow will become hysterical over the hurt caused to her litter.

Weepingwillow has been mentioned, multiple times at this point, to be consuming poppy seeds for her bad teeth despite being heavily pregnant.

Why should this plot be approved?: This plot should be approved because it makes complete sense and the build up is already in existence! It will showcase interesting interactions with herbs - how often do we see the effects of poppy seeds on nursing queens? Additionally, it would be amazing character development for Weepingwillow, Littlesplash, and all of the affected kits. It also affects only this group, and all parties have agreed and are excited for this plot's existence!

I apologize for the late plot request being made - when this plot was initially in discussion, we did not anticipate things such as death or long-term effects as the result of the poisoning. I realize now that a plot post is necessary!
