Tinyshadow padded along the riverbank, the sun warm on his back. It was his first day of training with Crowpaw, and he wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. After hearing his mother talk of her struggles during training, he had vowed to never allow his own apprentice to feel unworthy or unfairly disliked. He wanted to make training fun for Crowpaw, and though it was his first time, he would learn as he went. They both would. He stopped beside the river, not far from the spot where he'd first trained with Stormdance, sitting beside the water and motioning with his tail for Crowpaw to join him.

"As I'm sure you've already guessed, we'll be having our first fishing lesson today." He meowed, his voice warm and upbeat. "Now, one of the most important things to remember while fishing is to ensure that your shadow doesn't fall over the water. If it does, you'll surely scare all the fish away." He instructed, crouching down so that he was in a prime position to strike, though undetected by the creatures swimming below. "When you see a fish, wait until it's just about to pass under your paws, then scoop it out of the water - but you must be fast." Tinyshadow stared into the river's glimmering depths for a moment, waiting for the perfect opportunity. As soon as he saw his moment, he lunged, scooping the fish out of the water and slamming it down onto the bank, killing it swiftly as it landed. He straightened, a pleased expression crossing his face, before motioning for Crowpaw to try it out for himself.

"Your turn!" He said, stepping back to give him room. "And don't worry if you don't get it on the first try; everything takes practice."
