Is it a bird... Is it a plane... No! It's a... kit?

A soft blanket of fresh powder snow sat glittered under the moons soft glow. Throughout the safety of WindClan's camp, cats were sleeping. Preparing one's self for another gruesomely cold day. All that is, except one. A small kit was curled up, honestly it could've easily been mistaken as a big fluffy fur ball, if it weren't for those eyes. Those big, blue eyes, anxiously waiting for sunrise. She hated this part, this falling asleep part. She envied the kits around her, how they drifted off into such a peaceful sleep so seamlessly! Petalkit however, wasn't a different story. She was ALWAYS the last one to fall asleep in the nursery and it just wasn't fair! Slowly as if sleepwalking the kit got up slowly and padded out into the clearing. Carefull not to step on any tails or paws and was successful at not waking anyone up. This was it! Her first time out of the nursery! Bubbling with excitement the kit put one paw into the snow, jumping back at the this new sensation. This was unlike anything she had ever experienced! So cold... So wet! However she pleaded on, small paw prints new on the freshly fallen snow. Finally the kit found a nice comfortable spot and sat down patting at the snow and purring. Wet mats already forming in her fur.

Butterflywing woke up she had been in the nursery when they found a new kit stranded on the territory. She shook her head as she heard a small crunch of the snow and carefully padded out of the nursery silently and said "it's beautiful isn't it?" she asked sitting down

Runningpaw ran over to her mother and sat with her

Willowpaw padded into camp, her mouth filled with some herbs. Her green eyes reflected the exhaustion that showed in her pawsteps. She made her way to the medicine cat den, barely even noticing the other cats sitting just outside the nursery. The apprentice began placing the herbs where she belonged. Poppy seeds over here, yarrow over there, and catnip right in this spot.

Runningpaw up and ran over to Willowpaw, "Want any help?" The she-cat asked the other apprentice.

Willowpaw jumped when Runningpaw came up behind her. She had just finished placing the last herb where it belonged.
"Oh, no thank you," the medicine cat apprentice mewed, gratitude in her eyes. "I just finished anyways, but thanks for the offer!" She padded back out of her den. "What's going on out here? Some kind of late night gathering?"

Butterflywing purred "no just keeping petalkit company" she said

Petalkit was not thrilled for the company. In fact she was a tad takenaback. She shot a glance at the queen then at Willowpaw. Afraid she was in trouble the cat looked down. The as quickly as she had risen from her "sleep", the kit had shot around the camp, running in long and fast circles; trying to find somewhere to hide. She hated getting yelled at, and she didn't want it happen again!

Stepping back in shock, Willowpaw watched the kit start running in a panic.
"Whoa, hey!" she said, her voice louder than she meant with the surprise. "Calm down, little kit, it's okay."

"petalkit what are you doing?" butterflywing asked a little concerned with the kits random behavior

Runningpaw nodded at Willowpaw and watched the kit dart around camp. She looked at Willowpaw and Butterflywing to see if they knew what Petalkit was doing.

The kit was now going in faster and faster circles. Snow wipping around like a tornado, it was great. Petalkit had no clue what what she was doing was called, much less know how her legs did this... OOF! Petalkit had suddenly tripped her over paws. Face first in the fluffy snow the kit decided not to move. Maybe they wouldn't be able to see her. Keepin this method going she ignored the other cat's comments and laid here, face first in the snow.

Runningpaw trotted over to the kit, and picked her up by the scruff of her neck and sat her down. "You okay?" She asked looking concerned.

Butterflywing got up and trotted over to petalkit and licked her head once runningpaw hat her on her paws

The kit squirmed uncomfortably at all of this attention. "I'm dead. Ooooo." the kit managed to say under the queens tounge. "Let me float around! Ooooo!" She mewed again in the scariest voice she could muster. She didn't like just sitting here. Helloooo? The snow was belly fur deep and waitin to be played with. With one final sigh the kit stayed put and stopped complaining as the queen sat grooming her long matted fur. It did feel kind of nice now that she thought about it.
