Lola heaved as her kits slid out. No cat was around to see her die. Cave was out hunting. Lola glanced over to her kits, ignoring the blood coming out of her. All dead. Not a single one alive. While most mothers would've weaped Lola was different. She knew she was going to be with her kits soon.

A wail of grief was the last thing Lola heard before she breathed her last breath. And when Lola opened her eyes she had left her body.
