Training with Echopaw [Closed]

Crowstar waited at the entrance of camp for his apprentice Echopaw. He knew she was getting closer to being old enough to become a warrior so he wanted to see just how much she has learned so far. He knew he should have been apart of her training more but he was a busy cat. The black fluffy tom made sure to apologize for that later, for now he needed to make sure he could still do her training like he promised her.

Echopaw had turned into a lovely little she-cat. Her black and white specially dappled pelt was taunt with the muscle. Her frame was mostly one of WindClan, except her strong back legs. Her father had told her that she was part WindClan, but she didn't mind. She found her sleek frame useful in the trees. At first she was excited to have Crowstar as her mentor, but she was mostly trained by other warriors. But, it was alright. She was excelling in her training, and she was eager to show Crowstar her moves. She trotted up to the leader, dipping her head. "Hello, Crowstar." she said, trying to mimic the happiness she usually had. The sickness of her brother Mumblekit and the impending death of her father was weighing heavily on her.

"Hello Echopaw. Are you ready for some hunting and some battle training?" He wanted to cover at least a couple things today. They would do some hunting first and then cover a little bit of Battle training. Crowstar feared that with the change in power with Riverclan that it would mean more of a chance for them to get attacked, more than before. He wanted everyone to be battle ready.

Echopaw nodded, standing straight and squaring her shoulders to the leader. "Yes, Crowstar. I've learned so much, I can't wait to show you everything. I hope you are proud of me." she blinked up at the tom, a small purr at the back of her throat.

"Alright, let's go. We are starting with some hunting." The leader said flicking his tail to get his apprentice to follow. "And I'm sure you will make me proud." He never doubted any of his apprentices for one moment even if they messed up. He was confident in their abilities.

Echopaw nodded, determined to not prove him wrong. Echopaw slinked into the bushes and raised her maw for scent. A slight breeze drifted just as she heard the gentle chittering of a squirrel. Easy! Echopaw crouched, stalking the squirrel silently and then she pounced, her paws landing...

*roll* *8 rolled*

... square on the squirrel's shoulders. With a swift bite, the squirrel was dead. Proudly, she looked around for Crowstar as she began to bury the prey in the snow to retrieve later.
