This book is about a girl, who moves from the city to the country, Iowa. Her and her family now live in a small house given to her family by her great aunt. When her great aunt was young, her great uncle "ran away" in a boat, into the ocean. While at the house, the girl discovers what happened to her great uncle, and then her dad "disapears" before her eyes. Then her great uncle and her find their selves in the story beginnings, to save her dad.
