A new day!!(Open)

Tuftkit almost died! Of boredom, he had been cooped up in the nursery for so long and he just couldn't wait to see the camp, but now that he has, he just about ran back to his nest. He was distracted by a cute bumble bee that he just couldn't ignore. Bouncing after it he hoped he could gain a friend or two.

Willowpaw pranced towards the kit with a grin. She was just barely an apprentice, but she couldn't be prouder. "Hi!" She mewed happily. "What's your name? I'm Willowki- Willowpaw."

"Oh, hi! I'm Tuftkit!"He was startled at how fast he had made a friend, but also proud.
"Your an apprentice? Wow it must be cool! You get to see other clans and the outside world! I'm stuck in here." He said glumly.

"Don't worry, you won't be for long!" She mewed with a grin. "The territory's really cool- Leopardstar showed me the other day." She purred proudly. "Anyways, As soon as you're an apprentice I could show you around. Who d'you think will be your mentor?"

"Oh, I don't know! I haven't even met half the clan, your the first cat who has talked to me!" Tuftkit said anxiously, "Do you think it matters? Will I not be able to be an apprentice?"Tuftkit was panicking now. He looked up at Willowpaw, "Will I ever become an apprentice?"

Willowpaw shook her head. "Don't worry- Leopardstar will find someone." She paused. "And if he can't find anyone then... then I'll teach you!" She purred, nudging him.

"Oh, you would do that for me? That's so nice!" Tuftkit purred back. "Is being an apprentice hard?" He asked.
"I'm going to be the best apprentice there ever was, but to do that I'll need a head start. So what do you have to do while being an apprentice?"He asked curiously.

She shook her head. "It's fun, actually. I mean, we have to clean off the elder's ticks,
but training's always interesting. We get to practice hunting and we even learn how to fight!""

"Uh, fighting sounds dangerous, you got to be really careful. I guess its better that nothing though."He said uncertainly. "Do you ever get to play?"

She chuckled. "You don't have to worry about me, I'll be fine."
She sat down, wrapping her tail around her white paws. "Sometimes. We get a break in-between patrols and hunting, and sometimes we get off days." She shrugged. "Playing isn't really much fun anymore..."

"Playing isn't very fun anymore!!!!!" He said in astonishment. He had regained control of his emotions." Then what is fun?"He asked inquisitively. Any cat that didn't play obviously had bees in their brain.

"Sitting in the sun, sharing tongues, telling stories..." She licked one white paw delicately. "There's more to life than just playing, y'know." She mewed with a teasing grin.

"Oh, of course." Tuftkit said sheepishly.Moving on to another topic, he asked, "Have you ever caught anything? Getting to hunt and all that."

The black-and-white apprentice shook her head slowly.
"But I'm getting better! I think I will soon." She mewed brightly.
The young apprentice paused.
"What d'you think your warrior name will be?" She whispered. It was a very important question to Willowpaw. Her warrior name would define who she was- it would be a first impression to all cats, and first impressions were very important. Besides, wouldn't it be amazing to have a name that meant bravery and courage? Something that elders would tell their kit's kits. Something cats would murmur when they needed some encouragement.

"I want to be Tuftberry," He said shyly shifting his paws, "I want to be a medicine cat,
is there anything wrong with that?" He asked fearfully.
