Venomous Words Will Anger the Wolf [Open for Ripped]

Venompaw had watched as Wolffang received her warrior name. Disgusting. The apprentice was not only younger than her, but she didn't come close to deserving the honor she just received. She was a cross-clan virus, her enemy's blood ran in that cats veins and yet she acted as though she truly did uphold the code, despite her existence itself being an abomination. Anger flared in her chest and she gritted her teeth. Not only that, but Starclan themselves had proven their resentment of her at the gathering, and after her little stunt Venompaw couldn't help being surprised. Gatherings were a time of piece, and she'd broken that one rule that was older than Starclan themselves, but somehow she still earned that name she held. 'No she didn't' Venompaw didn't mean to think it, but she did and now all she could feel was jealousy rising in her chest. She trained long and hard, but this.... kit got it as an apology. Enough was enough. Approaching the new warrior, her eyes cold yet at the same time burning with a flame of rage, she hissed, her voice quiet but spiteful
"Don't think for one second you deserve what you've been given today... Thrushstar's not what he used to be, he's not thinking straight, so as far as I'm concerned he can't truthfully get you to say those vows. You're no more than a kit to me, a spiteful, arrogant, cross-clan piece of dirt. You don't belong in Shadowclan, you don't belong anywhere" Venompaw let her words sink in for a few seconds, allowing them to sting before adding salt to the wound
"So, Wolfpaw, why don't you just wander on right out of camp, because you should never have come through the entrance. You're a virus, a plague, and nobody wants you here. Disgusting little cross-clan kits like you shouldn't be warriors, especially when they haven't earned it" she spat the last few words out, her eyes gleaming as the insults just kept rolling off her tongue. It felt like a weight lifted off her chest as she told the 'Warrior' exactly what she thought
"Get out"

Wolffang had been off by herself, eating in silence. After her warrior ceremony, the clan had dispersed fairly quickly as she expected. For the past few days her clanmates had all simply given her looks of disdain from afar. The young she-cat did not expect it at all when Venompaw came over and spat at her, tone true to her name. Wolffang sprang to her feet, fur bristling instantly as she took up a defensive fighting stance. The apprentice's words mirrored her own feelings about herself and confirmed her fears that others saw it too. But she would not be allowed to get away with talking to Wolffang like that. Claws slid out into the long earth as the grey, she-cat's tail lashed angrily.

"What part of you thinks you can talk to me like that? Thrushstar would never have made me a warrior unless he saw me fit. I earned it just as much as any cat. And my heritage has nothing to do with who I am!" Wolffang yowled back angrily. For a couple nights, she had lived with a quiet anger. But now there was no way she would hold back the rage that was burning inside. First Frostpaw and now Venompaw? Her former denmates had turned on her as soon as they had even the slightest idea about her not being a full-blooded Shadowclan cat. Does my blood truly dictate who I am? She shook her head quickly to clear her thoughts before springing forwards at the apprentice.

Her long, extended claws dug into the other she-cat's fur as she barreled into Venompaw and stuck out with her front claws. Wolffang yowled angrily as rage coursed through her veins and she continued to attack the cat she had once considered a clanmate. The newly appointed warrior showed no mercy as she lashed out. If Venompaw wasn't going to be fair, why should she?

Wolffang used front paw strike, doing 8 damage and using 10 stamina.

IC: The apprentice had of course expected a harsh word back, but being full blown attacked surprised her. Yowling in pain as the warrior dug her claws in, she felt rage grow inside her. She wasn't going to let this piece of cross-clan dirt tear into her without fighting back. She was pinned down and in no position to attack with her front paws, instead raking her back ones down the other's now-exposed stomach
"You didn't earn it! He's old and delusional! You're blood is tainted, its all you are! You don't belong here so don't think for one second you have any right to dig your claws into me! You don' even deserve to breath the same air as me, a full-blood Shadowclan!" As she spoke she dug her claws deeper.

She'd never been the best fighter, especially due to her current lack of battle training by no fault of her own. Her words however, were like daggers. She had a feeling that her mother had known what she'd be able say when she named her, either that or she simply lived up to her namesake. So although she was scratching Wolffang and feeling the satisfying of blood in between her claws, she hoped it was her merciless words that were truly cutting into the other
"You don't belong in our clan, go be the filthy rogue that you are!"

The apprentice's words only fueled her rage. For most of her life, Wolffang had respected the old Shadowclan leader. Aside from that, it hit her personally how much the she-cat's words bit into her. A snarl built up in her throat as she reared up on her hind paws, slashing wildly at her clanmate. Her words were laced with anger as she yowled and attacked.

"Shadowclan has better to offer than you! You disgusting and spiteful piece of mousedung," Wolffang raged as blood sprayed from her claws, "I don't know what cat would want to be a full-blooded Shadowclan if this is what they're like!"

Puddlepaw, having heard the yowling just as she'd arrived back at camp—comfrey roots, still stained with dirt, hanging from her jaws—dropped the herbs as soon as she'd spotted the two tussling cats, Venompaw's dark pelt dripping with something, it was difficult to make out but darkened the fur even more—and then, as she glanced toward another cat's body, she could make out that it was—

Blood.

On her sister. And as Wolf-fang reared up, slashing wildly, the small she-cat came to a revelation: it was not all her own.

"Stop! Stop!" she cried, rushing forward, small paws squelching on the moist ground. Memories of the night before, huddled comfortingly beside Honeydrop and hoping their den wouldn't leak, only made the scene before her more realistic and horrifying. "Wolf—you—" her eyes were only for her littermate, but a deep dread began to fill her as she thought of their first Gathering. "Stop." she spoke again, but this time she was begging, pleading for the warrior to pause. Her voice splintered at the end, shivering in the melting frosty air.

Venompaw, now battered and bleeding, barely staying conscious, took the moment of distraction to shove Wolffang off of her, wobbling as she stood and spitting
"You're a disgrace. An embarrassment, disappointment to the clans. You don't even deserve to be called a cat" however, as soon as she finished speaking she limped towards the apprentice den. She didn't want that stupid medicine cat's herbs, she'd be fine on her own.

Even though she was now in extreme pain, bleeding out of various wounds all over her body, she didn't regret it. She'd gotten what she wanted. Proof, that cross-clan kits were violent, disgusting scum that didn't deserve a clan. Everyone had seen that, everyone would see the cuts and also probably scars left on her from this. Everyone would know that Wolffang had done it. So as she winced, pain shooting through her as she sat down in her nest and begun to clean her wounds, she smirked with every sting and biting bit of pain. She considered it a win

Thrushstar had not been far from camp, walking about to try to do some kind of hunting but found it almost useless in his old age. It was growing harder and harder for the tom to try to stay as delicate with the process as he used to, so instead he opted to come back to camp. As he got to the entrance, that's when he heard the yowls and screams of the fighting cats inside. With a sharp gasp and a dash into the clearing, he stopped as he saw Wolffang and Venompaw duking it out in the center of camp. However, almost as quickly as it began, it was over and Venompaw was limping towards the apprentice's den.

"Tell me I did not just see this happen!" Thrushstar hissed, frustration and anger already showing on his features. "Venompaw, if you walk into... that den, I will personally yank you out by your tail and shred your fur! Get back over here." He tried his best to raise his voice, but with his lack of vocal chords, it was difficult. "Wolffang, stay put. Obviously, we have something we need to discuss." His tail lashing about behind him, the old tom stormed to the center of the clearing, his claws pulling up dirt as he did so, staring down the two she-cats. If looks could kill...

At Puddlepaw's words, Wolffang froze, her sides heaving. The senseless anger began to melt away slowly. It was still there, but the heat of the fight died out. The young warrior snarled at Venompaw as she finished speaking, however, she didn't make any move to continue attacking or follow after her. Before Wolffang could try to defend her actions to Puddlepaw, once more the clan leader was about ready to take her life. The fury was evident in his voice. Wolffang flattened her ears defensively, much like she had done last time. The she-cat sat back on her haunches, ready to be berated once more. While the couple of wounds stung, her wounds were certainly not as bad as Venompaw's. It was deadly silent as she waited for Thrushstar to speak once more.

Hazeflight sat in the corner washing her silver body. For once she seemed at peace, her daughter was a warrior and Puddlepaw's training was going excellently. Honestly, for Hazeflight, it was the best it had been for moons. The silver she-cat sighed deeply as the wind rustled the pine tree above her. It was calm, too calm for Hazeflight's liking.

The familiar hiss of her daughter, awoke Hazeflight from her momentary trance. In a flash, the silver warrior, was beside Thrushstar and Puddlepaw. Her ice blue eyes raking over Wolffang and the apprentice that had sulked into the apprentice den. Hazeflight tore her gaze away from Venompaw, whom she knew had been Wolffang's friend, the fact she had turned on her daughter all of a sudden disguisted her. The tension in the air was unmistakeable and the silver cat hated it.

Venompaw had of course heard her leader, despite his quiet shout, and couldn't help feeling her stomach turn. Maybe not such a win. Humiliation flooded over her as she turned right back around and shakily approached her leader, eyes gleaming with contained fury. She'd had that, she'd won, and now her leader would tear her fur off for simply trying to rid the clan of the scum that had somehow made it's way in.

She sat there, as far away from Wolffang as she could reasonably get, and flicked her tail as she pushed her rage down and instead tried to look battered and beaten. If he thought she had already gotten what she deserved he might go easy on her. Admittedly, she'd never been in any serious trouble with her leader, instead always doing her best to impress him, but in this case she was almost glad she did. 'Violent, rabid, that's all she is. Cross-clanners don't belong, and this is proof'

"Thrushstar... I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to go that far..." her voice broke in the middle of her speaking, and it sounded as though there were actually remorse in her voice. It was funny how easily suppressed urges to kill could sound like regret. Her ear twitched, but other than that she seemed utterly pitiful, hunched over and bleeding from head to toe.

As the apprentice came crawling back over shamefully, Thrushstar simply stood, his eyes never leaving Venompaw until she came and sat back down next to Wolffang. It was frustrating how much Thrushstar felt like he was trying to contain fighting kits at this point. However, as soon as the apprentice sat down, she immediately started to speak, saying how she didn't mean for things to go so far. So she had started the fight somehow. At first, the leader didn't speak, trying to think of the best way to go about the situation to get the most answers without the two of them playing the blame game too hard. "You initiated this then, Venompaw?" He asked, his eyes narrowing at the apprentice, however he wasn't expecting an answer. Without waiting for one, he turned to Wolffang. "What happened here?" he asked her impatiently.

Honeydrop ran out at all the commotion and the scent of blood. "Who? What? Where?" She stopped abruptly at the sight of Wolffang and Venompaw. Oh.... Oh dear. The medicine cat of ShadowClan padded over slowly, slightly shell-shocked at the scene. Her deep amber eyes found her apprentice Puddlepaw, looking slightly hurt and betrayed. Her mentor made her way to the apprentice, wrapping a comforting golden dappled tail around her. She didn't envy Thrushstar, having to deal with things like this. ShadowClan had taken a significant downturn, definitely. We must have been great, once. We must have been something to behold. Why, StarClan, why do you send ShadowClan these trials? Couldn't you give us a break, just once? Her paws itched to heal the two bleeding cats, but she had a feeling the leader would want to get his say first.

Ambernose had left the warriors den hearing the commotion and the scent of blood. She let her light Amber eyes flicked to the dark colored apprentice before to the newly made warrior. She let her eyes narrow briefly in thought confused as to what went on.

"She told me that I was cross-clan scum. And that I do not belong in Shadowclan," Wolffang meowed flatly, not bothering to look over at Venompaw. She ignored the assembled audience and looked just at the leader. The young warrior trusted his judgement. Like Mudfoot had tried to reassure her, the she-cat hoped no everyone saw her that way. Thrushstar had shown some understanding so far, so why would now be different? Either way, Wolffang waited silently for the Shadowclan leader to speak again, not even attempting to further defend herself.

Darkpaw was sitting there, in the edge of the Apprentices den, when she saw the fight between Wolffang and Venompaw, and that then Thrushstar iterjected, she raced to Venompaw and said ''SO ARE YOU THINKING CROSS-CLAN ARE FOX-HEARTED, NO?!'' She snarled at her then growled ''IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, YOU COULD HAVE THUNDERCLAN BLOOD IN YOU! AT FIRST I SEE YOU IN THE NURSERY I THINK YOU WHERE FRIENDLY! BUT I SEE THAT I WAS WRONG! YOU ARE PATHETHIC!'' Her green eyes glared with fury, Darkpaw was hurted because she thinked that Venompaw was friedly, but after she saw Venompaw quarreling Wolffang, she felt hurt.

Darkpaw after this raced out of the camp, she was crying hard of what Venompaw had done.
