Even Kits Dream (Open to All)

Flashwing chuckled. "Little sister, your mother was a very good cat. We only got in trouble once when her first mate, Cloverpool, my uncle Tanglefur and I went out into the forest. Sunpelt had just been made a warrior and Cloverpool was Cloverpaw at the time. That day Tanglefur and I died from a fox attack and Cloverpool, Sunpelt, and another she cat named Silkcloud managed to kill it. Now When we got back to camp Tanglefur and I were still alive barely, but we died after we received out warrior names, oh how I wish we lived to see all our siblings grow." Flashwing meowed flicking her white tipped tail.

Lion looked worried "You still can" he reassured her trying to make her feel better "To be honest I died from deathberries, oh how stupid I was"

This last comment aroused Featherkit's curiosity once more. "What're deathberries?" They sure sounded horrible!

Lion looked down "They can kill you in one bite" he looked up again

Ivykit leaned forward eagerly to hear what Flashwing had to say, then backed away in horror after listening to the sad story the StarClan warrior had to tell. "That's...that's terrible, Flashwing! At least my mother managed to get vengeance for your death! How do StarClan cats manage it, not being able to live on with their friends and family?" Ivykit's voice trembled slightly, but she was intensely curious. What effect did death have on cats? This, she felt, was more interesting and important than that oddball Webpaw. She leaned back into Featherkit's fur as well.

Then, she listened to Lion's explanation of his death, and her gaze grew curious as well. "I've heard that some medicine cats keep deathberries in their herb store, though...Why do they still keep them if deathberries are such horrible things?!" she asked, eyes wide.

"Sometimes cats need to be put out of misery or maybe they are prisoners and must die if the clan decide that as their fate" he looked at his starry fur and looked of into the sky

"Why'd you ever want to kill any cat?" Featherkit gasped, eyes wide with horror. "Don't enough cats die already, if those are all dead warriors?" she demanded as she motioned towards the brilliant swath of stars overhead.

"I know its happened to many times but we cant stop what our ancestors have done" the memory of his death filled his head

"Well if a cat is in to much patina nd you know they won't heal, and they know it to they will ask for deathberries or the medicine cat will give them to that cat and end their misery. Sometimes cats eat them by mistake thinking they are ok to eat. They aren't, they may be bright red and seem harmless and look tasty but they will kill you if you eat just one." Flashwing meowed. She looked down at Ivykit. "Its hard but we Starclan cats mange it, sometimes we can't help ourselves and we visit them through dreams. And as for punishing prisoners with deathberries that it a tale clan cats tell kits to scare them into being good, but usually only elders and horrible parents will do that. Clan cats would either banish then or give them to the clan that that cat offended. It varies on the leader, since its their choice. Some cats are evil and will give them to cats who don't know anything about herbs deathberries and then tell them it's ok to eat if they want to kill that cat, or get revenge. But deathberries are a horrible way to die you get poisoned and it burns. I have a friend named Ashkit who died from eat deathberries, but she was from Windclan, so if you wanna know more about that go talk to her about it." The light brown she cat meowed smoothing down he white fur on her chest.

Lion looked and kept on thinking about his death over and over again the she-cat mentioned how horrible it was to die from the most terrible herb Deathberries

Ivykit's eyes were wide and astonished at what the starry cats had said. Cats killed intentionally? It sounded horrible, but as she dove into her little land of thoughts, she could see some slight logic in that. If a cat was evil, or in pain that was worse than death... Still, Ivykit doubted that she would ever be comfortable about any intentional death.

"Death is horrible...but is StarClan worth it?" Ivykit whispered softly, her voice barely carrying in a cool nighttime breeze. Might a cat intentionally die just to enter StarClan? Wouldn't that make things horribly difficult?

Lion's eyes widened "No matter what we all still die it's just our path, it's not our choice either"

Featherkit barely heard Ivykit's whisper, but it still sent icy chills down her spine. Dieing on purpose just to come here? It was nice and all, warm and full of prey if the faint scuffling in the tall grasses were any indication, but to be stuck here forever without being able to see your littermates or your friends... Featherkit hated waiting for any amount of time, but an eternity...

Lion looked down again "Unfortunately cats that don't go to StarClan go to the Dark Forest.." he felt a chill run down his spine just thinking of it "It's horrible there"

Webpaw tensed even further, looking at Lion, he narrowed his eyes. "How would you know what the Dark Forest is like? You're a StarClan cat." He gave himself the appearance of suspicion rather than in defense of the Dark Forest. He couldn't give away that much. The tom studied the loner, he took note of possible blind spots and weaknesses as he waited for his response.
