Elmkit, Jaykit, Frostkit, Possumkit, and Hollykit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Fishstar yowled.

Hollykit poked her head out of the nursery. She ran out to stand in front of Fishstar and sat down eyes gleaming with excitement

The tom blinked and had to muffle a squeak of excitement. Possumkit followed Hollykit and stared up at Fishstar, barely able to maintain his composure.

Firestream, the young ginger and gray warrior, trekked out of her den with mild exhaustion lingering on her face and pelt. When the she-cat settled herself on the ground before the Willow Branch, she combed her tongue through her bedraggled fur. Firestream stopped grooming herself after she was satisfied with herself and she returned her attention to Fishstar.

Jaykit bounded over to Fishstar, gave wandering around. The camp, since her first view of it, had become even more home-y to her and the freedom made her felt complete. Though the boundaries kept her locked inside, she would forever enjoy the large space, even with Skyclan. The she-cat sat next to her brother, Possumkit, and sister, Hollykit.

Halfmoon, newly a warrior, watched in anticipation as the new kits readied to become apprentices. Was it her time to be a mentor? And would she fail epically, or just mildly fail? Would the apprentice be scared of her deformity?

Frostkit followed her siblings out of the nursery, and over to the meeting spot. The little white tabby was excited for today.

Ivyfall followed behind her kits, her tail lifted high with pride as each of them were of apprentice age now, and healthy as kits could be. Her green gaze was fixed upon them as they all sat underneath the willow branch for Fishstar to call them closer. To think once they'd been tiny warm, wriggly bundles that could barely squeak.

Hollykit smiled proudly at her mother. She was very excited to become an apprentice and she wondered who her mentor would b and what she would do first

"Elmkit, Jaykit, Frostkit, Possumkit and Hollykit, please step forward," said Fishstar.

With a twitch of his whiskers, Possumkit stepped forward as Fishstar asked. The little tom felt a mixture of nerves and excitement. He wondered which of the warriors would be his mentor. Please, StarClan don't let me make a fool of myself with my stutter, he thought.

Jaykit bravely jumped forward, rather than stepped. She bumped into Possumkit along the way, then gave him a quick nuzzle to apologize. She smiled brightly at Fishstar. Who'll be my mentor? I hope they're strong, and mighty, and cool!

Ic: Elmkit, who had remained near his siblings the whole time as he waited for their names to be called, bounded forward as Fishstar called upon the five of them. His tail flickered as he glanced from side to side each of the kits started to step forward in turn. He didn't care much for who was his mentor - as long as they could teach him to be the best warrior out there, then he was cool with whatever choice Fishstar decided for him! Of course, he also hoped his siblings would get great mentors as well.

Frostbite stepped forward with a look of pride on her face. She didn't bother to look at her other siblings. This was her moment too, and she wanted to enjoy every moment of it.

Hollykit stepped forward with joy in her eyes. This is so exciting! she thought
