Being left alone

A black and white rouge she cat carried two small barely two moon old kittens,one white and one black kitten. The she cat looked around,she had never been in this territory. She though knew about the clans. Quietly the she cat set the kits down and licked both on the head before turning tail and running off quickly.

After a few second of being left alone both kits started to meek loudly calling out for their mother but no cat came they continued like that for a while. Angel,the white she kit, mewled squirming close to her brother Hades.

It didn't take long for the two kits to be found. Fennelcloud was simply out and about when she heard the small cries for help. Dashing towards the sound, she paused when she saw the two kits. "Oh you poor things!" she cried. "what are you doing out here all alone?"

Angel's mewls quieted as she heard an unfamiliar voice. Hades opened his kitten baby blue eyes and looked up at the unfamiliar she cat and he grew scared much like his sister Angel when she looked as well. Angel mewed out loudly with what seemed like she was crying out for her mother but no other cat came. It was evident that the two small kits were left there alone and whoever left them wasn't coming back. Angel then looked at Fennelcloud and very quietly the small kit mewed"w...w-who ar-are y-you... W-where's our mo-momma?"

Looking down at the poor kits before looking up and taking a quick whiff of the air, she sighed. She could smell the trail, but it was old. She didn't think she could follow it for long. Besides, with the way that the scent was only on the kits and not in the area, it was obvious that their mother left them here with no den nearby. They were abandoned. "It's okay, don't be afraid," she replied calmly, lowering herself to their level. "I don't know where your mother is. She's been gone for a while... Are you two okay?"

Angel looked at her quietly"y..yeah we ..we are fine"she mewed quietly looking to her brother quietly who only huddled close to her. He was shivering just slightly his fur wet in some places."I..I'm cold though"Hades mewed quietly still giving a small shiver.

The worry for the two kits continued to grow as Fennelcloud tried one more time to look for any clues on where their mother could have gone. She was fairly certain she wasn't coming back and she didn't want to let these kits sit out here all alone. The only thing was that the queen also knew how Thrushstar felt about rogues and bringing in kits... Except it was against the code not to help them out. Looking back at the siblings, she perked her ears up a little bit. "How about you two come with me? I have a great place where you two can make your home. There are plenty of other kits your age that you can play with; there's warm beds, fresh food to eat. I really think you will like it there. My name is Fennelcloud, by the way," she purred.

"O..ok"Hades mewed quietly. He liked the idea of a warm bed and shakily he got to his paws. Though he didn't stay up long because he collapsed back on the ground. Angel though managed to stay on her paws."w..we want to go"she mewed quietly."i..I'm Angel... And th..this is my brother Hades"the small white she kit mewed

Those were certainly some odd names. Fennelcloud had never heard of such. No matter. After seeing Hades fall back to the ground after trying to stand up, she sighed softly and walked over to the kits. "I can carry you. Hang on tight," she mewed before reaching over and picking them both up gently by the scruff of their necks. This was something she was already used to doing, so it wasn't to unfamiliar having a mouthful of fur. With a small nod of her head, she turned back around and headed towards camp.

Angel and Hades waited for a moment before they were pick up but the scruff by Fennelcloud. They let her quietly not minding being carried.
