Left Alone

The rogue put down the kit and whispered, "You'll be alright..." Before running off.

Tiger hadn't opened his eyes yet... He stumbled through the grass trying to figure out where he was, then mewed, "Mommy!"

Sablefur finished patting down the soil on a buried rabbit. "That'd oughta do it," she murmured. She picked her head up and continued along the border. She started to daydream after awhile of sensing the absence of prey. Luckily, she snapped from her thoughts in time before she could trip over a little kitten. "Oh--!" There was many scents sticking to the kit's fur. A loner's kit? Sablefur wondered, glancing around for the mother. She pressed her fur into the tomkit, eyes sweeping along the hilly landscape of WindClan. What if the mother comes back? Surely she'd known she left it on Clan territory? After a few moments of looking around, Sablefur could've sworn she saw the figure in the distance... behind the trees. It was running in the opposite direction. "Hey!" the WindClan she-cat yowled. "Your kit!" .... No luck. The shape had vanished.

The kit mewed and buried itself deeper into the she cats fur, "Mommy?"He murmured, confused by the different scents coming from the cats fur. "Where's mommy?"

Sablefur felt the kit nestle into her bellyfur for warmth. She felt a pang of sympathy for the small bundle of fur. "It's okay," she whispered, licking the kitten's fur. We don't have any queens right now, do we? Looking around one last time, the she-cat gingerly clenched her jaws around the kitten's scruff and lifted it up. She had to take it back to camp. It was apart of the Warrior Code. Even if it wasn't, her motherly instinct still drove her to keep kits safe. Sablefur continued to glance back at the forest for any signs of movement before departing toward WindClan camp.

Tiger struggled for a moment when the shecat lifted him up before going limp so he was easier to carry. "Where's mommy? Where are we going?" He whimpered.

ooc: who did you decide to be your adoptive parent(s)?

Sablefur hesitated as the feeble brown kit spoke. "I know you're scared," she began, mouth full of fur, "but you're going to a safer place. Y- Your mother will show up soon." She saw the brambles of the entrance. I hope... The brown warrior ducked into the brambles, careful not the scrape the vulnerable kit.

Ooc: nobody yet, actually. I was hoping this would help.
"Okay." Said Tiger, he went silent after that, he trusted this cat because she was all he had for now.

ooc: If you want, Sable could be her adoptive mother. She doesn't have a mate, though, if that's a problem.
