The Assembly of Nations [roleplay]

A knock at the door alerts the tall man of a messenger carrying a parcel and multiple letters. He allowed them to enter, the boy messenger setting down his burdens upon a small desk. Quickly opening the envelopes, one containing an agreement to the trade route, and another being an invitation to a ball from Equestria.

Sitting at his chair, Allicane jotted down his response, an agreement to attend. With it was a small map, depicting a possible trade route along the Mediterranean Sea. On the back was a neatly written suggestion for this trade route to take place. The man folded it into a small cream envelope, and handed it to the still waiting messenger; who had been admiring the antique bookshelves. And yes, it did smell like old books in this leader's quarters.

Which brings us to the parcel, that, when opened, held a copy of an ancient fable; the story of a hound wizard named Harry Potter. Sadly, he could not read it. Magnus tugged on a string, ringing a bell somewhere in the castle. In a minute or two, a scholar strode into the room. The book was handed gingerly to the newcomer, as if the book would fall apart if not handled correctly. The scholar's small hands grasped the novel, and went off to translate it into the local language.

The Prime Minister of Revenire, Ms. Desmarais, looked down smiling at the large map laid out on the table. They'd gained a lot of territory this year it seemed, successfully securing a good portion of the northern Atlantic coast and gaining access to the Great Lakes, just as she planned. These would become far more than useful when it would come to traveling around their newly born country, and for traveling, expanding, and trade as well. Water ways were always key, she believed. "It's time we spread out on the coast, Gentlemen." The young woman said, pointing further down the Atlantic coast line. "I expect great progress this year."

Nearly all of the island of Britain has come under our control, and in our pursuit of equality, liberty, and fraternity, our people have prospered. But even still, millions of people around the globe suffer in repressive and undemocratic systems. So the First Consul of the Republic of Rainmerrow, Marius de Normandie, declares that no monarch shall hold dominion in the lands of Europe. This is a formal declaration of war against the Kingdom of Faery, to end the tyranny of King Oberon and Queen Titania. From this day forth, their European holdings shall belong to Rainmerrow.

While the neutral friendliness was short lived, it has come to the decision of the Revenirian government that it is in our country's best interest that we end the trade route between Faery and Revenire, and - in the name of the honourable King Brandon - hereby declare that all the remaining land in North America will be taken for our own property.
Seeing how easily Faery makes enemies does not stir well with our council and we have come to believe that having the country nearby would only be a danger to the people.

To the rest of the world, as long as your country does not pose a threat to our people, we will remain neutral as well. With that said, the Country of Revenire extends the offers of newly formed trade routes to the countries of Honeytopia, Equestria, and Walrustopia.
