February Gathering 2014

OOC: I know like everyone's acting like this is before Hail's murder and this post might be a paradox, but I can't wait for the next Gathering to bring this up, so I'm going to pretend that Hail was murdered shortly before. Action has to be taken now if I want any of my plans to work. Again, sorry for suddenly confusing the timeline, but I have little choice. Not to mention, this will probably be a lot more exciting.

IC: Reedstar shoved past Spottedfeather and yowled loudly, his voice sounding like another boom of thunder amongst the storm. His fury had returned, with his mind flashing back to the body laid in the center of camp for all the Clan to see. "Clans!" he announced, tail lashing, staring daggers into the unruly crowd. "As you can see, I've returned to my rightful place. Mapleclaw is dead for her crimes." he shouted above the pounding rain. "But that is unimportant. A warrior of ours was found murdered in our territory. ShadowClan scent was clearly found clinging to her pelt." A growl rumbled in his throat and he was suddenly facing Nightstar, with claws unsheathed. "Your Clan has disrespected all traditions and laws. You're no better than a greedy, murderous, and traitorous pack of rogues." Reedstar was well aware of his voice carrying across the whole clearing and mews of protest, but he didn't care. Not even the thought of Froststar's two kits would calm him. There was no forgiving this slight.

It would only take a word. Just one word, and his warriors would be fighting ShadowClan in the clearing. Reedstar held his tongue. Murderers and sickly rogues they might be, but he did not want to chance risking StarClan's wrath. Not until Nightstar gave him a reason to, anyways. Try me. Say something. I'll make sure you're dead nine times over when you do. His mind flashed back to the three rogues lying broken in the mud below the Great Rock. She would suffer the same fate. "The punishment for this crime is death. Only blood can pay for blood." His lips curled back into a snarl, leaving the rest unsaid.

The she-cat narrowed her eyes as she recognized the tom she had run into near the end of her apprenticeship, the sick bloodthirsty tom who had threatened to leave her dead in the water if she didn't keep her mouth shut of his appearance. He was RiverClan's leader? It was with a sick regret she didn't at least try to hunt down a patrol sooner, or claw his eyes out. She went home a coward.

A look of horror spread across Mistflower's face, that her clan was being accused of not one - but two different murders under the same full moon. For a few moments, she was absolutely speechless, glancing around at the cats around her - looking for any answers at all. Honestly, she wouldn't put it past the two numbskull clanmates of hers to trespass on ThunderClan territory a few times, but these accusations were complete madness. "Liar!" She jumped onto her feet, shouting at the top of her lungs, choking on her own sickness. "You filthy liars!" She growled, unable to stop her coughing fit.

Stormpaw tilted his head curiously at the suddenly-appearing RiverClan leader. He'd never seen him before. Wasn't the leader of RiverClan Maplestar? Guess not, guess they weren't actually the leader. RiverClan was confusing. And what was that about murder?

The light-grey tom recoiled. A RiverClan cat had been murdered? By one of his own Clanmates? He instinctially shrunk to the back of the crowd. If they were out for the blood of other Clans, who's to say they wouldn't kill their own Clanmates!? His ears laid flat in fear as he slipped into the outer part of the undergrowth surrounding the clearing of Fourtrees.

Silvershade narrowed her eyes. She had nothing to say that she hadn't already said in front of her Clanmates.

Lavenderheart, looking up at Reedstar, eyes slightly dull, was only a bit surprised. Ravenpaw had come home one day with RiverClan scent and there were other WindClan apprentices who had as well. It could be possible that this was some time before the murder, but, it only made sense, considering that this cat had been found injured, which could possibly mean that she had been nearly murdered a couple times. Then there was also the RiverClan warrior she had met at the Gorge when Shadeheart and the young apprentice had fallen in. Could possibly be the same cat that she had met - Hailwhisper. The she-cat wasn't seen anywhere, so that was the only likely case. However, the accusation of RiverClan being liars. No way. She had placed her trust and faith in Reedstar at this point, and he wouldn't just accuse a clan for such a serious event. He had more sense than that. Besides... ShadowClan was never trustworthy in the first place.

Snow-eye, baffled for a bit as to why ShadowClan would outright murder two cats, and why this would become a battle of throwing insults at one another, calling out that one would be a liar and the other would not. Was this not supposed to be a peaceful Gathering under the full moon where StarClan would be watching them? There were those apprentices and such before, but how they knew what was going to happen and why StarClan would be so angry was a surprise to her until now. It made sense. Besides, while RiverClan were their allies, that did not mean necessary trust. However, in no ways were they having some sort of bond with ShadowClan besides old grudges. At this point, anything could happen depending on the leaders' decisions.

Ravenpaw, from her spot with the medicine cats, glanced over to Ashpaw, showing slight curiosity as to whether he knew anything about this or not. Most likely, he did, and it wasn't her business. However, there was the sneaky feeling that ShadowClan was up to something. After all, there was news that they had caught a plague of some sort and the thought that Swiftnose and Nightpaw visited her at camp when they always had the possibility of ShadowClan just didn't seem right since ThunderClan and WindClan weren't on the... friendliest of terms.

Swiftnose was almost in a panic. Cats murdering cats, disrespecting borders, threatening each other and yelling death threats... and then the second announcement of a ShadowClan cat murdering! His wide blue eyes darted to the sky, watching the clouds. The stars were blotted out and only the moon was left untouched- for now. The only leader who hadn't accused Nightstar was Falconstar, and it was his first Gathering as WindClan's leader. But no matter who he sided with, Swiftnose knew that something terrible was brewing up and nothing but bloodshed and possibly even death would halt the caterwauls of threats and destruction. Still he said nothing, thinking himself unimportant enough to warn them of the coming ruins he read in the clouds.

Sunface was in a rage. "Only blood can pay for blood!" She echoed the RiverClan leader in a loud yowl, her fur fluffed and claws unsheathed. These cats hurt her friends and threatened her deputy; they murdered her mentor and treated it like a joke! She would have their pelts line her nest!


OOC; Kudos to Soul and Storm for accidently starting up a sitewide plot.

In shock, Sorrelpaw hadn't heard one thing about murders- and as a medicine cat apprentice, wouldn't you get the word? But at Reedstar's words, he looked up to the sky in hope to see something from StarClan- A sign, or something- to protest against his leader's words, but saw nothing. Perhaps StarClan did believe that this was a battle to be thought? It baffled him, and he looked at the other medicine cats. "Do you think- This might be true?" He asked, nervously flicking his ear.


Ivyfur, who was sitting besides her friend Lavenderheart, was only curious to Reedstar's words, but as their allies- if they still were -she had to agree. If ShadowClan was murdering other clans' warriors, they would have to fight back. Looking to her friend, she only hoped that this wouldn't turn into something horrific. But she turned back to Reedstar, and after hearing the yowl from another cat, nodded. "Only blood can pay for blood! If these murders are on ShadowClan's fault- what Reedstar says is true. They must repay their damage they caused." She yowled soon after Sunface, adding onto her reason as to why she was speaking out.


Silvercloud, however, just looked wearily at Reedstar. So much death had happened- and a battle would not be something in her favor. She looked over at Lichencloud and Sorrelpaw, hoping they would have their input as some of the cats who share tongues with StarClan, and would be hearing word about it from them, other then the leaders themselves.

Rookheart gasped as the news was told. The blaack warrior just couldn't believe that a cat in Shadowclan would be that bad. She sighed and flicked her tail sadly.

Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw were shocked as they sat and listened.

Moonpaw stood up in rage. How dare Reedstar say that one of her clanmates did that! The little apprentice shook with rage and she glared up at Reedstar.

Stormpaw stared at Soulfang.
"Stop upsetting Starclan," Stormpaw hissed.
"You need to stop, just stop please," Stormpaw pleaded and gave a menacing glare to him.

Whitepaw curled his tail over his paws.
"Yeah lets stop," he mumbled.

Nightpaw's fur was fluffed up.
"He's making Starclan angry," she grunted," he's gonna be zapped."

Firepaw, who was sitting close to Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw, had her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Is he trying to disrupt a gatheirng?" she asked.

Ooc: Oh great...Our plot was hoping that Hail would be mentioned at the March gathering. Looks like we got to speed things up a bit, guys.

Ic: Redshade lashed his tail, glaring at the cats around him, his gaze seeing a gentle, red fog to shroud his sight slightly. Anger. Oh, was he angry. He wanted to slaughter all these stupid cats right now. But, to keep within his plans' timings, he'd have to calm down. He sat down, resting his tail tip on Soulfang's shoulder a moment, giving him a serious look. If they wanted to stop being accused, they better stop yelling. "The apprentice is right! We don't want to anger Starclan, so if you want to accuse and fight with us, do it some other time!" He growled, trying to keep his voice from shaking in agitation. "We may have a bad reputation, but that doesn't mean we killed some Riverclan cat! We don't even border your clan!"

Stormheart felt the fur along her neck begin to raise, and her gaze snapped to the two Shadowclan cats who had been accused of murder. Her claws slid out, and she began to growl rather loudly. She stood up suddenly, as if she didn't even notice the others around her, and pushed past so that she was a few pawsteps from the two. "Accuse you? Fox-hearts! If I find out that either one of you were ever lying about killing my sister, I'LL SKIN YOU AND FEED YOU TO THE DOGS!" She snarled loudly, her amber glare full of vicious flames of hatred. There was no denying that she wanted them dead and had basically already decided that one of them had killed Hailwhisper. This was a sensitive topic to her, being her now-dead sister had been her last family and her closest friend who in no way deserved death.

Addertail glared at the cats as the arguing went on, and was about to let out a quiet, low growl as well when his eyes widened at the snarling and hissing of a ferocious she-cat stalking towards them, claws unsheathed. He didn't like how angry she looked, and feared a fight might break out if someone didn't calm them all down. That tabby had a look of kill and destroy in her eyes, hungry for vengeance.

Stormpaw was panicking now. The moon was almost covered.
"Lets just finish the gathering!" Stormpaw pointed out.
"Then we can forget all about this. You know, is there evidence that Soulfang killed this cat?" Stormpaw asked trying to reason.

Firepaw grunted at the Thunderclan apprentice that kept speaking.

Stormpaw plopped back down with a depressed look.
"The clans are always fighting," Stormpaw sighed.

Nightpaw looked over at Hawkpaw.
"I hope no one gets hurt," she murmured.

Firepaw had an upset look in her eyes.

Whitepaw stared at all the cats murmuring and he felt the tension in the air.

OOC: Jinx, PLEASE dont reply after every freaking reply. Its too much and you should wait for others to reply also. Like the leaders? No need to reply after one person says something that isn't even directed towards your cats.

Moonpaw glanced wildly around as cats began to yell and start to get edgy. Starclan couldn't possibly like this, and she was beginning to get annoyed as well. Whoever killed that Riverclan cat, just because there was Shadowclan scent on it, doesn't mean it was Soulfang specifically! Someone had to stand up for them, because right now their own clanmates weren't. She stood up, looking nervously up at Reedstar and the other leaders. Hopefully she wouldn't get in trouble for this. "I...I s-saw a cat in our territory!" She spoke up. "I'm in Shadowclan, and I saw a familiar cat in our territory last night! I know I should have said something, but I was afraid of getting in trouble because...I followed them. I know I shouldn't have but they did intrude and I wanted to see what they were doing!" She explained, knowing she was lying but desperately wanting to help. These were her friends! "I saw them roll in something and then run back into Thunderclan land...I followed and tried to stick to the Thunderpath so I wasn't trespassing but then...I saw him go to the steppingstones, and I turned back. I didn't know who it was at first, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was him..!" She flicked her tail to Addertail, who was sitting not very far away. She sounded convincing, didn't she? It wouldn't be too much of a surprise to people, if he had killed someone and tried to blame Shadowclan for it. That tom was known to have a feud with Soulfang and Redshade, and Thunderclan could have easily wanted revenge for the supposed "murder" of their warrior moons ago. The perfect accusation, probably making more sense than Redshade or Soulfang committing the murder!
