February's Gathering 2016

Buds of green sprouted on branches on the oak trees, and the usually thick layer of snow everywhere began thinning bit by bit. Every now and then, drops of icy water would fall onto the Great Rock, leaving it slippery and icy. The full moon glowed brightly in the night sky, waiting for the five clans to gather underneath it.

WindClan was first to arrive as the dark brown she-cat trekked through the shadows into Fourtrees. The open space was more ominous when it was empty, especially since she'd be experiencing a new sight on the Gathering. She nearly stopped to get a comfortable spot, but continued on toward the Great Rock, whiskers twitching with nervousness. Sablestar leaped onto the icy surface, claws scrabbling at the stone for a moment before regaining her composure atop the rock. Staring off toward the grouping cats made a pit grow in her round stomach.

Rowancloud entered the clearing quietly, his bushy tail held high behind him. He settled next to his other Clanmates, shuffling his paws with curiosity with how this Gathering would turn out.

Pinedusk padded behind Dovepaw, then decided to go off on his own. He walked over to the back and sat, relaxing against one of the bushes.

Emberleaf followed the rest of Windclan into the clearing and sat down where the medicine cats usually sat. The ginger tom sighed and waited for the other clans to appear.

Kestrelstorm followed his mate from a few tail lengths behind. Right now, they weren't really on speaking terms even though she was about to have his kits. In a huff, he sat down in his usual spot by the base of the rock.

Foxpaw trailed behind his mentor and was excited to see how this gathering would go.

Ashwing followed her leader into the Gathering, somewhat nervous. Her first Gathering as deputy of WindClan... Who wouldn't be a little apprehensive? Still, she kept her head high as she sat by the base of the Great Rock.

Next to arrive was Shadowclan. Thrushstar looked as exhausted as ever, but his face was as cold as stone. His eyes were cold, almost dead as he leaped onto the Great Rock and glanced at Sablestar, curious as to where Falconstar was off to. Maybe he was sick again. Good to see that the deputy to make it to this gathering and not have one of their warriors be a messenger of bad news. He had no ill will against Sablestar, but he said nothing and instead turned around and stared down into the clearing, watching his clan filter in. He felt like a hawk up here, staring each of his own warriors down to make sure none of them were going to try to screw up this gathering too. He was going to make sure they were not embarrassed like last time.

Amberpaw trotted in nervously behind Thrushstar, the last gathering he went to was very hectic and he hoped that this time would be different.

Ashwing gazed at the ShadowClan leader; he looked very grim. She hoped he didn't also bring bad news. Where was Leopardfang?

Shimmerheart followed the rest of ShadowClan into the Gathering. Where was Falconstar? The deputy was on the rock, but then who was that by the rock's base?

Webpaw followed ShadowClan to the growing crowd under the Great Rock, he noticed the confused faces on many of his clanmates and looked around curiously.

Eaglepaw nudged him "Whats wrong?" she asked whispering

Wildfang followed in the pawsteps of Thrushstar as they entered the Gathering.
