After the Vigil

Ivyfur walked from the warriors den, looking down. Her dark fur soaking in the warm sun. Greenleaf was her favorite time, and it was here. Curling up in a warm patch of sunlight, she hoped not to be bugged for the moment, but to go on a patrol, she wouldn't care.

"Hey, Ivyfur, sorry to disturb the newly appointed warrior but we gotta go on a patrol." the senior warrior meowed instructively her scarred face and fluffy pelt most defiant in the den as she was blocking the entrance. "After we do this patrol you can sleep, I promise" she calmly stated as she gazed down at the she-cat.

"Oh.. okay." She mewed, getting up. Ivyfur whispered a few things to herself, then after catching up closer to Patcheye. "Hunting or border patrol?" She asked.

"Border patrol, I heard rumors of a couple of attacks lead by Shadowclan and Riverclan, so it is best to check the borders frequently" Patcheye meowed, not waiting for the she-cat, she stumbled a bit but kept walking not used to the scar messing with her sight, it faded every once in a while. "Ah, Ivyfur, can I ask you something" she meowed.

Following her former mentor, Ivyfur nodded. "Er... Okay." She mewed, looking down as she walked.

"Do you think I should retire soon? I mean, I am getting old and then, the badger attacked..." she meowed looking slightly away, from her former apprentice, 'maybe someone else could join the patrol while we are still here?' she thought.

Ic:
"Mudclaw perhaps?' She mewed, quietly. "Also, I believe you should retire when yu feel it is best, Patcheye." Ivyfur added.

"Well, when I feel it is best it'll be in a few hundred moons" she joked stumbling a bit again but getting her balance "If you want to go and fetch him you may, I might aswell meet the small thing, honestly I never spoken to him." she meowed gladly.

Ivyfur playfully batted her former mentor. "If anything, I am the small one. Mudfur (or claw, I forget) is just fine." The warrior said, as she went off to find him.

Mudfoot laid in the clearing, his black fur soaking up the sunlight. The warmth felt good from the cold vigil the night before. He watched the camp then sat up as he saw Ivyfur approaching. "Good morning Ivyfur, did you sleep well?" he greeted, dipping his head lightly before bringing it back up. His yes met hers gently as he awaited a response.

OOC: I didn't know if she would be approaching him or not, if she isn't ill edit this :)

Ooc: She was.

Ic: Ivyfur's soft blue eyes looked away as Mudfoot's met hers. "Well, not exactly. I am going on a patrol with Patcheye, and I want you to come." Ivyfur said quietly.

Mudfoot chuckled a little as she looked away, causing him to look away as well. He pricked his ears as her tone got softer, not quite getting the last few words. "What was that?" he asked gently, looking back at her now.

Ivyfur gasped in some air, and a small smile appeared arter awhile. The smallest warrior of Windclan felt... happy. "Will you join me and Patcheye on our border patrol?"

Ooc: So pumped, tomorrow I start school!

Mudfoot smiled, sensing her happiness then he purred "Of course, a patrol sounds quite good right now." He rose up onto all fours then awaited for her to be ready and lead the way.

Catching up to Patcheye, Ivyfur chuckled.
