Ic: It didn't take long for Shadepaw to spot another frog. He crouched, then sprung towards it, ice-blue eyes locked on. But perhaps he was getting too careless, because he tripped and fell, which scared the prey away.

Nightpaw tasted the air; frowning. Was that the scent of...rats? Her ears perked; a grin replacing the frown on her face. She hadn't caught rats before. She dropped into a couch and startled toward the scent before she noticed the sleek grey body of a rat. Carefully making her way forward; she paused for a brief second before leaping at the rat. Her paws landed on the rat as it squeaked out in fear; but in a second it was dead. Two out of five; she was doing better and that was all that mattered.

Shadepaw got to his paws, glancing around. Had Sagestar seen that? Probably, so he should be more careful. Moving forward over the marsh, he paused, tasting the air. A mouse was nearby. Pushing himself low to the ground so he was hopefully unseen, despite there being little cover where he was, Shadepaw began to crawl forward until he could see the mouse. Bunching his back-legs once more, he prepared to launch a spring, claws unsheathed. However he hesitated, as the mouse's back was not turned to him. He was looking at its side, and hoping it would turn around a for a moment. But it simply got up and hopped away into a little hole nearby. Glaring at its den, the tom made his way back further into the territory, since he was nearing the border.

Successful with her first kill, Smokepaw wanted to catch another piece of prey. The apprentice searched until she came across a frog in some grass. Slowly the apprentice crept upon the prey, before pouncing atop the frog hoping to kill it.

Nightpaw grinned as she walked though the territory. She paused as she tasted the air to find a frog. She followed the scent; sighing sadly to herself when she saw where the frog was located. Right next to the Thunderpath; of course. She turned and padded back toward the heart of the marsh; she wasn't going after the frog when it was that close to something that many cats had died on. Lucky for her; she soon found another frog sitting in the marshy landscape. She dropped into a couch and pulled herself forward before shaking her rump and leaping. She landed next to it; scaring the living StarClan out of the frog but before it could hop away, Nightpaw had already pinned it down and killed it. Three out of five! Almost there!

Shadepaw figured he needed to pick up the pace. Spotting a lizard, he slunk towards it, bunching his muscles, and making quick work of leaping off, racing towards it. The lizard glanced up at him, and for a heartbeat, their eyes met. Shadepaw narrowed his own ice-blue ones, claws unsheathed. He had to catch this one....And he did. Claws collided with the lizard's back, killing it fast. The tom buried his prey, sprinting away to look for more. Only two more to go, he could do this.
