She got into her stalking position and prowled. She spotted the vole in a bush. She pounced at it, but it was faster then her and got away. Mintkit gave a whimper. "I'll never be a warrior! It was way faster then me! The first cath was probably just luck."

Mintpaw smelled the air and caught scent of a vole. She got into her best crouch and as lightly as she could, she crept up on the vole. She pounced. She did it as swiftly as possible but she still missed! "I can't be a warrior! I'm not good enough!" Mintpaw said angrily and sadly. Tail drooping she grabbed her lucky prey and headed back to camp not even seeing if her mentor was coming too.
