Hunting Training

Redfeather curled his tail over his paws neatly as he waited for his apprentice. His ears twitched when a small drop of melting snow hit it.
Where was Stormpaw anyway?

Stormpaw was asleep earlier. He was barely awake when he heard the call of his mentor. "Coming Redfeather"! He yelled as he bound across camp to his mentor. "So, what are we doing today"? He asked rather loudly. He was so exited that he could barely keep his composure.

"Quiet down or you will wake everyone!" Redfeather scolded the apprentice gently. Much happier he added, "I'm going to show you how to hunt!" Redfeather led the way out of camp, halting in front of the river.

"Alright, I want you to sit with your shadow out the river. That could alert the fish." He paused to position himself just so, then continued "Arch your paw and unsheath your claws. Then you must aim for where the fish is heading, not the fish."


ooc- Do you already know how to do this or no....?

Ooc - No. i have no idea how. XP

Ic - Stormpaw unsheathed his claws. He knew that if he could catch the fish on the very first try, his mentor would be very pleased with his skills. So he raised a paw and swiped in the water. His claws caught nothing and he could see no prey. "Darn it!" He yelled suddenly realizing that he could've woken up the Whole of Riverclan with that yelp.

Redfeather purred, swishing his tail over Stormpaw's back. "Calm down. Not every cat can catch it on their first day, okay?"

Ic - Stormpaw studied the river Stealthly. Remembering not to put his shadow in. He took a well aimed swipe for the water.

The member 'Storm' has done the following action : Dices roll

ic- Redfeather purred happily, tail in the air. "You did it!" He pawed the fish gently away from the river. "Good job, Stormpaw." he murmured. Then his brow furrowed. "Have you been taught how to swim yet?"

"Um, no" Stormpaw mewed. He didn't want to go into the water now. What if i drown? He thought.

Redfeather slid into the water, russet fur in a pile around him. "When you get in, paddle your legs. Keep your head raised." So that Stormpaw wasn't hurt, Redfether knew he had to stick next to him.

Stormpaw put a paw in the River. A shiver ran down his body as he touched it.He took a couple steps forward and put his body into the river. "Ah! It's cold!" He said as he shivered into the river, Remembering to paddle his legs.

"It will get warm soon." Redfeather purred. After a short time, he glanced up at the sun. "Time to go." he told his apprentice, pulling himself
out the water. It seemed to run off his pelt as if he had never been in the water.

"Ok Redfeather." Stormpaw was elated to get out of the ice cold water. It was Leaf-Bare. He was sure no cat wanted to swim at the moment.
