Cleaning the elders den

Littlelight ignored her... trying not to be frustrated "I'm sure you were happy... done with this nest" Littlelight padded away and came back with a squirrel and dropped it by Blackbelly's feet and went over to clean Blacktail's nest

"Stupid tom! Thin ye' know all!" he swatted the tom's ear with his old, ragged claws unsheathed.

As Littlelight cleaned Blacktail's nest he grunted. "You never told us why you were sent in her to do an apprentice's duty."

Littlelight ignored the swatt, continuing on Blacktail's nest "I already said.. i went off to meet a Thunderclan medicine cat and Shadowstar punished me"

"The medicine cat? But isn't she supposed to be protecting her clan?" Aspenleaf groaned and shifted in her ratty-old nest. "My daughters both made the same mistake... And look what happened to them. One is more torn then a half-starved foxed in SkyClan and the other died... long, long ago."
She sighed, "When will kits learn to stop making these kind of mistakes?"

"They won't," Blacktail responded. "They aren't taught right. If only I could get ahold of those apprentices. I'd teach them good!"

Littlelight finished Blacktail's den, putting a squirrel next to his nest he looked up "who's next?'

Raincloud shook her head.
"It isn't necessarily the cats," she mewed. "More like their parents. If their parents weren't so soft with them, then the cats would expect discipline in course of their actions! My kits were never allowed a toe out of line. If they messed up, they were punished, simple as that."

"Is that true?" Aspenleaf leered at Littlelight. "Did you get in this mess because Scarletflare never gave you a rightful scolding?"

"No... she just wasn't there most of the time" he began "and I don' know who my father was... so whos next?" Littlelight said, mouthful of moss

"That's a shame!" the white tom grumbled. "Parents not knowing how to treat their kits anymore. What has this clan come to?!"

"Hmph." Aspenleaf said, getting out of the way for Littlelight. "Well even if Scarletflare is a terrible mother, that doesn't mean he doesn't know the warrior code, right? That sticks to a cat since birth!"

"She wasnt a horrible mother" Littlelight grumbled, going to Raincloud's nest and cleaning it

"Oh, she was with the way yer' actin'!" thw elder grumbled.

Raincloud moved aside.
"Well, what happened, then?" she pressed, giving Littlelight a scathing look. "There must be some reason for you to have broken the warrior code."
