Cleaning the elders den

Littlelight stomped through the clearing, his jaws filled with fresh moss for the elders bedding. Littlelight arrived at the elders den "I've come to clean your dens" he called

"A new warrior come to listen to our storys?" an old tom rasped. "What's next?"

Blacktail (made up o3o;) looked up from his place in the elders' den as Littlelight appeared. "About time!" He snapped. "Look at this mess! Those apprentices haven't been keeping up with their duties."

"Okay" he grumbled "so which nest do you want me to clean first?"

"Oh, thank Starclan!" exclaimed a pale grey she-cat. She got to her paws, stretching slowly. Her name was Raincloud. "It's about time they sent an apprentice here! We've been living in this itchy, smelly nests for moons now. Besides, some of these young cats need to be taught a lesson. Cleaning helps anybody build character!" She nodded in self assurance.

"Mine!" Blackbelly snapped. "The old moss has water seeping to my bones, you arrogant warrior!"

"Mine." Aspenleaf grumbled, shooting a glance at her opponent. "Fine, him, but I haven't been able to move at all, I hardly have any bedding left. Geez, apprentices these days. Back in my day, youngsters actually showed respect to their elders and were actually responsible."

The white tom with a simple black tail turned to Aspenleaf. "I agree! We knew how to treat our older cats," He grumbled. "And when you're done with the bedding, I have some ticks that need to be dealt with!"

"Say, aren't you a little old to be an apprentice?" Raincloud mewed suddenly, squinting at Littlelight. "You must be in serious trouble to be doing this. Go on, tell us what you did."

"What ye' do?" Blackbelly snorted. "Eat all the prey? My stomach is rumbling like nothing ever!"

"Okay, okay: Littlelight said, working on Blackbelly's nest "I.. well... I went off once to meet the ThunderClan medicine cat Sarrowsong" he replied looking down, continuing to work on Blackbelly's nest

"Me next," Blacktail grumbled. "I feel like I'm sitting in my own mess... Oh, wait. I am!"

ic- "Did you check this moss through? I feel thorns pricking me on all sides, and it's sopping wet!" he complained.

"Probably ruffled some RiverClan cat's pelt or something, didn't 'ya?" Aspenleaf rasped. "Young toms always tend to think their invincible."

"A forbidden love?" Raincloud scoffed. "When I was an apprentice, we knew who we would be mates with by the time we became warriors! And none of them were in another clan. All you cats are too soft."
