Icwhisker, oblivious to Ebonyroot and Leopardheart, nodded at Featherstar and looked down sadly as well.

IC: Deadfrost's eyes widened and he trembled. This was the second time. Second time.
He remembered Rainpaw's death. And now, images of Fallensoul's death swept through his mind for the first time. The ravaged warrior dug his claws into the ground and hissed. "I'm never there for my sons. I never deserved them."

Featherstar licked his cheek, as if to say it wasn't his fault. "Maybe if I hadn't taken him to WindClan, this never would have happened." She sighed, looking at him sympathetically. She missed Rainpaw.

"It's not your fault Featherstar..." he meowed, thinking about Fallensoul's broken spine.

Deadfrost nodded miserably. "I know. But sometimes I wonder why each time we've been gifted with a son, he dies." He gave a slow nod of thanks to Icewhisker.

"At least you actually have the chance to have kits..." he meowed sadly, looking down.

"Well that's not very nice." Ebonyroot whispered and smiled, flicking her tail. "I don't scent any borders around here, do you? Certainly not on this tree."

Icewhisker jumped up at the sound of the new voice.

"Oh Ebonyroot...you scared me..." he meowed after turning around to look at his past mentor.

Leopardheart let out an irratated snarl and leaped down. "Deadfrost, Featherstar," she nodded.

bic: Ebonyroot purred and jumped down after the ThunderClan deputy.

OOC: He still heard you!

IC: Icewhisker nodded as Leopardheart padded towards them.

Leopardheart hissed at Icewhisker.

Alarmed by the she-cats hiss Icewhisker stared at her.

"Why so hostile? I didn't do anything." he meowed, keeping his voice calm.

"I think she walks around with thorns behind her ears." Ebonyroot muttered, approaching the group along with her, the smallest smile on her face.

Leopardheart flicked her tail irritably. "I do not."
